The Lexus RZ is designed on the e-TNGA platform, similar to the Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Soltera, but with a more premium appearance and equipment.

According to the Industrial Property Gazette No. 430 of January 2024, Toyota has successfully registered the industrial design for the RZ model in Vietnam. Currently, the manufacturer has not made any announcement about whether this luxury SUV will be introduced in our country or not, but this is the first signal that Lexus RZ will soon be present in Vietnam.

Lexus RZ is built on the e-TNGA platform, similar to the Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Soltera. However, Lexus said that this model will have a different design and possess more advanced features and equipment.

The front of Lexus RZ impresses with its familiar spindle-shaped grille and faux grille slats. The surface of the grille is smooth, while the side edges are beautiful lines that emphasize the spindle design that Lexus has been following for a long time. Symmetrical on both sides are still sharp headlights combined with a subtly raised hood, adding elegance and personality to the appearance of the RZ.

In addition, there are air vents running along the two corners on the top of the car, a wide central air vent, and a diffuser under the front bumper. These details make the overall “face” of Lexus RZ more powerful.

Looking at the side of the car, Lexus RZ has a curved roofline and a raised roof design thanks to black pillars. Around the car are still bold and cut lines. The highlight that makes the car look more muscular is the black wheel arch trim. Lexus RZ is also equipped with large multi-spoke wheels to increase stability for the car.

At the rear, Lexus RZ still features the familiar crossover design that has been applied to the RX product line. Other notable details include two small wind vents symmetrically placed on the roof, a large wind vent in the middle, a sleek taillight strip extending the width of the rear, a black rear bumper, and a similarly shaped air intake as the front of the car.

Inside the cabin, Lexus RZ is designed to be minimalistic yet luxurious with the “Tazuna” theme. The car is equipped with a digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch touchscreen, a rotary gear selector, power-operated doors and windows, and a panoramic sunroof with anti-glare feature. The round steering wheel is a standard feature, but users can also choose a rectangular steering wheel similar to Tesla’s.

Especially, the car is also equipped with electronic steering assist. According to the Japanese automaker, this technology reduces the workload for the driver, allowing them not to have to turn the steering wheel themselves when approaching intersections, making U-turns, or parking.

As a premium model, it is easy to understand that Lexus RZ owns a range of advanced and modern technologies. The car is equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ package, which integrates features such as active steering assistance, pre-collision avoidance, all-speed cruise control, lane departure warning, low-speed automatic acceleration, remote parking, and driver distraction warning.

The Lexus RZ is powered by 2 electric motors integrated into the front and rear axles, creating a total output of 308 horsepower and a maximum torque of 435 Nm. In addition, there is a battery pack with a capacity of 71.4 kWh, providing a range of 310 km after a full charge. With fast charging, the time to fully charge the car’s battery stops at 28 minutes.
