Pickup trucks and SUVs are gaining popularity among users, making Volkswagen’s introduction of the 2024 Atlas Peak Edition at the 2023 New York Auto Show a timely move.
This special edition, which focuses on off-road capabilities, takes design cues from the Atlas Basecamp concept and proves to be one of the rare cases where the production version surpasses the concept version in terms of aesthetics.
The front of the vehicle stands out with its glossy black bumper and contrasting silver accents. The dark color scheme is extended to the black radiator grille, which is illuminated by a Volkswagen logo.
As we move towards the sides, the Atlas Peak Edition showcases plastic body cladding and matte silver accents. The signature Peak Edition badge and black 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires complement its rugged character. The black mirror caps, window surrounds, and roof rails further enhance its sporty appeal.
The rear of the vehicle is equipped with a black bumper and decorated with matte silver accents. Chrome exhaust tips add a touch of sophistication. The Atlas Peak Edition is available in two exterior paint colors: Avocado Green and Pure Grey.
Inside the cabin, black synthetic leather seats with light gray accents and contrasting orange stitching create a stylish and comfortable atmosphere. The black metal trim and 30-color ambient lighting system further elevate the interior aesthetics. The car also comes equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch infotainment system.
Powering the Atlas Peak Edition is a new 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates a maximum power of 269 horsepower and a peak torque of 370 Nm.
