Meanwhile, the Pajero’s ABS anti-lock braking system with 4 sensors and 4 channels on all 4 wheels allows the driver to actively steer to avoid obstacles when braking.
The Brake Assist (BA) system contributes to enhancing safety when emergency braking is needed to stop the vehicle. When it senses a sudden increase in brake pedal force, the system will actively increase the brake assist to help reduce the maximum braking distance.

In addition, the vehicle’s passive safety system, such as 6 airbags, seat belts with automatic tensioning function, collapsible steering column, and brake pedal in the event of a collision, combined with the enhanced RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body frame, provides the highest level of protection for the driver and passengers. The Pajero is also the first model to apply the monocoque body frame on the Dakar Rally track and has proven its effectiveness by significantly increasing stiffness while maintaining the same weight.
