The GUM AutoRally is an annual event held since 2014 and is considered the largest and most prestigious vintage car competition in Russia. This competition creates a festive atmosphere with a variety of classic cars participating.

Although the specific route of the parade changes each year, the vintage car convoy always passes through the most famous landmarks of Moscow.

The youngest car participating in this year’s competition is 35 years old, while the oldest one is an 85-year-old convertible, the GAZ-A. The competition includes cars such as ZIL, Chaika, Volga, Zaporozhets, Pobeda, Moskvich, and Zhiguli.

The average age of the participating vehicles is 62. Some have undergone meticulous restoration while others are cherished heirlooms passed down through generations.

The parade begins when the clock of the Spasskaya Tower signals and the 120 cars pass through the designated route. The primary goal for the vintage cars is to maintain the necessary speed and arrive at the checkpoints on time.
