The current BMW X3 has entered its 6th year and needs to be upgraded to the new generation in order to stay competitive against its rivals.

The new generation BMW X3 is currently in the testing phase and is set to be released commercially in 2024. Leaked images reveal that the SUV model will receive incremental improvements rather than a revolutionary design overhaul. The most notable changes are found in the headlights and taillights. Additionally, the center grille has been revised and the door handles will be concealed, departing from the current traditional design.

Internally, the 2024 BMW X3 will feature a large curved screen consisting of a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 14.9-inch center screen. The steering wheel will now be flat-bottomed and smaller compared to the current version. The new X3 will also incorporate an electronic shifter instead of the traditional gear lever. The car’s infotainment system is expected to be upgraded to the latest iDrive version 9.

In terms of performance, BMW has confirmed that the new generation X3 will offer options for plug-in hybrid and mild-hybrid drivetrains. Additionally, this SUV model will also have a pure electric variant developed based on the Neue Klasse platform.

The new BMW X3 is expected to be priced in the range of $50,000 – $75,000, which is equivalent to 1.23 – 1.85 billion VND.
