Porsche Cayenne has recently introduced an upgraded version with extensive changes both internally and externally, including the reintroduction of the V8 engine on the Cayenne S.

The most noticeable change that catches our attention is that the interior of the 2024 Cayenne takes inspiration from the Taycan. The car features a 10.9-inch infotainment screen for the front passengers. Additionally, the central control unit is arranged more neatly by relocating the gear selector to the control panel.

In the middle of the control panel, there is a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Apple Music, and Spotify. The 2024 Cayenne also supports voice control for Siri’s vehicle functions. Notably, the Cayenne 2024 comes with a brand-new 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster that offers 7 different display interfaces, ranging from minimalist analog clocks to night vision mode.

Regarding the exterior design, significant changes include redesigned headlights that no longer feature the waterdrop effect, opting for a more angular approach. The front bumper has also been redesigned, and both the front mudguards and hood have been restyled to give the car a sportier appearance.

At the rear, we can see the new taillights stretching across the width of the car, also drawing inspiration from the Taycan’s design.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne offers three new exterior colors, including Algarve Blue Metallic, Montego Blue Metallic, and Arctic Grey. Additionally, there is a range of new wheel designs available, with sizes ranging from 20 to 22 inches.

All engine variants come with slightly increased power compared to the previous version, from the V6, 3.0L turbocharged engine to the Turbo GT’s twin-turbocharged V8, which stands out. In particular, the Cayenne S has replaced the twin-turbo V6 engine with a new twin-turbo V8 engine, tuned to deliver a power increase of 34 horsepower and 50 Nm of torque, resulting in a total output of 468 horsepower and 599 Nm of torque. The new engine helps reduce the 0-96 km/h acceleration time from 4.6 seconds to 4.4 seconds (with the Sport Chrono package). The top speed of the Cayenne S is limited to 270 km/h.

The base Cayenne is equipped with a standard single-turbo V6 engine that offers 348 horsepower and a maximum torque of 499 Nm, an increase of 13 horsepower and 49 Nm compared to the previous version.

For the E-Hybrid models, aside from the upgraded engine, the hybrid variants also come with a larger high-voltage battery, with power increased from 17.9 kWh to 25.9 kWh. The combined power of the E-Hybrid is 463 horsepower.

Lastly, the Turbo GT’s twin-turbocharged V8 engine remains the top engine in the 2024 Cayenne lineup and is only available in the coupe body style, delivering a power output of 650 horsepower. This power enables the car to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 302 km/h.

Furthermore, the car has received upgrades to its suspension system. The Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) active suspension system now comes as standard equipment, and the suspension has been upgraded for all variants. The option for an air suspension system remains available for the 2024 Cayenne.

In addition, the Cayenne 2024 offers more standard equipment, including Matrix LED headlights, PASM, and a range of active safety options.

Accompanying these significant upgrades is an increase in price for the 2024 Porsche Cayenne, starting from $72,200 and going up to $79,200. The Cayenne E-Hybrid starts at $86,500 and goes up to $91,700 (or $95,700 for the Coupe variant), while the Cayenne S starts at $90,900 and goes up to $95,700 ($102,100 for the Coupe). For those who have no budget constraints, the Cayenne Turbo GT starts at $196,300, an increase from its predecessor’s $188,700. All prices mentioned exclude shipping charges.

The 2024 Porsche Cayenne is now available for order, with expected deliveries to customers in the summer.
