The Volvo EX30 is an impressive SUV that offers both performance and style. With a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.6 seconds, it is the fastest car Volvo has ever produced. But speed is not the only thing that sets the EX30 apart. In terms of design, it is arguably the most beautiful car Volvo has ever created.
The Volvo EX30 2024 measures 4,233 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,650 mm. It has a starting price of 36,000 Euro in Europe and $34,950 in the US (excluding shipping fees).
For the base Plus model, which is priced at £36,000, customers will get a rear-mounted electric motor that generates a maximum power of 268 horsepower and a maximum torque of 343 Nm. The car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and has a range of up to 344 km thanks to its 54 kWh LFP battery.
For those who want even more range, there is the Single Motor Extended Range version, which is priced at £38,490. This version features a 69 kWh NMC battery that enhances performance, range, and charging time. With this battery, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and has a range of 480 km.
If you are looking for even higher performance, you can choose the EX30 Twin Motor Performance version, which is priced at £40,995. This version adds an electric motor at the front axle, increasing power to 422 horsepower and a maximum torque of 543 Nm. With this setup, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. However, due to the increased weight, the operating range decreases to 460 km.
All three engine options are available on the base Plus version, which comes with a wide range of equipment. This includes 18-inch alloy wheels (19-inch on the Extended Range and Performance versions), a contrast-colored roof, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control with steering support, heated seats and steering wheel, along with many electronic safety assists. The car also comes with a heat pump, an 11kW charger, a 1,040W Harman Kardon audio system, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Google Assistant.
The Extended Range and Performance versions can be upgraded with the Ultra equipment package for an additional £3,500. This package includes a 360-degree camera with 3D image display, an automatic parking assist feature, 20-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable seats, and a 22kW charger.
The above-mentioned versions are now available for pre-order in the European market and are expected to be delivered starting early 2024. Volvo has also announced that a Cross Country version of the EX30 will be launched in 2024.
