After more than 3 months of traveling through China-Mongolia, the Hai Phong tycoon recently brought the stunning Porsche 911 Dakar worth over 16 billion VND to the snowy roads of Cap-Nhi-Tan city.
The city of Cap-Nhi-Tan in Heilongjiang province is famously known as the “city of ice”. It is a popular destination for young people, especially during the winter season.
Not many have the courage like this Hai Phong tycoon, who fearlessly drove a sports car worth over 16 billion VND on a journey of tens of thousands of kilometers from Vietnam to China, through the Gobi Desert. This off-road supercar has conquered various terrains, including deserts, snow, mountains, and even water crossings.
The Porsche belonging to the Hai Phong tycoon was brought back to Vietnam in August. It is the first authentic 911 Dakar in Vietnam and one of only 2500 cars produced worldwide.
This car bears the serial number 1904, which coincides with the owner’s birthdate.
The Porsche 911 Dakar is based on the platform of the standard 911 Carrera, but it has been upgraded to be capable of traversing different terrains. Porsche has enhanced the car’s suspension system and increased the ground clearance by 80 mm compared to the regular 911 versions, reaching a total of 200 mm.
When the Off-road High Level mode is activated, the car’s ground clearance will increase by an additional 30 mm. This brings the ground clearance and maneuvering angles almost on par with regular SUV models, enabling the car to overcome speed bumps and road humps without any concerns of getting stuck. The mode automatically deactivates once the car surpasses a speed of 170 km/h.
This car features several personalized details according to the owner’s preferences, such as a signature on the door sill, an additional rollover protection frame, a roof rack, daytime LED lighting on the roof rack, and other off-road travel accessories.
Powering the Porsche 911 Dakar is a 3.0L 6-cylinder boxer engine, generating 473 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque. It comes equipped with an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission and AWD drivetrain. With this power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 240 km/h.
