Lynk & Co, a car brand designed for the new generation of consumers with an open mindset and urban lifestyle, was launched in 2016. With its slogan “More than a car”, Lynk & Co aims to deliver unique experiences to users through innovative design, advanced technology, and exceptional customer service. Recently, Lynk & Co made its first foray into the Vietnamese market with a contract signing for the import and distribution of their cars in August 2023.
Initially, Lynk & Co will introduce its first models, including the 01, 03, 05, and 09, to the Vietnamese market through complete import. Among these models, the Lynk & Co 03 is set to arrive in Vietnam in the near future. Our reporter had the opportunity to experience this car at a showroom in Hangzhou, China.
In China, the Lynk & Co 03 is available in two engine options: a 1.5L turbocharged engine with 180 horsepower and a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with 218 horsepower. The 03+ version features all-wheel drive and the sixth-generation BorgWarner system, which responds quickly to driver preferences and adapts intelligently to road conditions.
The front design of the Lynk & Co 03 showcases its sporty style, with an expanding front grille and distinct headlights separate from the LED daytime running lights. The rear of the car features a striking strip of position lights connecting the taillights, dual exhaust pipes, sporty air vents, and a central brake light, reminiscent of racing cars.
The interior of the Lynk & Co 03 is simple yet sporty, with suede materials, sports seats, piano black accents, and textured plastic. The car is built on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform developed by Geely and incorporates Volvo’s full range of safety technologies.
The Lynk & Co 03 TCR racing model combines the chassis system and original engine from the production model, making it a formidable contender in the TCR World Tour 2023 event. Since 2019, Lynk & Co has been actively involved in racing, sponsoring Cyan Racing and participating in the WTCR World Touring Car Cup. The team has achieved remarkable success, winning 5 world championships, including 3 team championships and 2 individual championships.
Currently, it is uncertain which version of the Lynk & Co 03 will be available in Vietnam in the near future.
