Another highlight of the auction was the re-auctioning of the license plate 37K-222.22. This VIP license plate originally from Nghe An province first went on auction on September 21, 2023. At that time, it received a highest bid of 810 million VND. Unfortunately, the winning bidder failed to fulfill their financial obligation and lost their 40 million VND deposit. As a result, the license plate was put up for auction again.
During the re-auction on November 2, 2023, there was intense bidding for the license plate 37K-222.22. The final bid reached 1.395 billion VND, surpassing the previous highest bid by a remarkable 585 million VND. This shows the strong demand and interest in this particular license plate.
According to our investigation, a wealthy license plate collector named Phong revealed that he was the second-highest bidder for the license plate 37K-222.22. However, what matters most is that his wife emerged as the winner of the auction.
