On the afternoon of August 12th, the Honda Racing Vietnam team’s racers entered their first official race day with a determination to improve their rankings.
The Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2023 Stage 4 took place at Indonesia’s Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit. The track has a total length of 4.313m and 17 corners.
Race 1 of Stage 4 ARRC 2023 took place under favorable weather conditions with sunshine and no rain. In the AP250 category, racer Cao Viet Nam (number 65), despite starting in 9th position, impressively finished 6th and earned an additional 10 points. This brought his total points to 55, placing him 6th on the leaderboard.
An impressive moment occurred during the last corner of Race 1, where Cao Viet Nam showcased surprising acceleration, moving from 8th to 6th position amidst intense competition with racers number 212 and 11.
Meanwhile, racer Nguyen Duc Thanh (number 193), starting in 26th position, made great efforts and finished in the 20th position.
In the UB 150 category, the Honda Racing Vietnam racers, Nguyen Anh Tuan #178 and Nguyen Huu Tri #111, started in unfavorable positions of 31 and 33, respectively. They finished in 21st and 26th positions.
At the end of Race 1 of Stage 4 ARRC 2023, only Cao Viet Nam earned points. Let’s continue to cheer for the Vietnamese racers in Race 2 tomorrow, Sunday (August 13th). Hopefully, all the racers will deliver explosive performances to accumulate more valuable points.
