During the initial license plate auction on September 15, 2023, several license plates were sold at remarkably high prices. However, these plates were subsequently re-auctioned due to the highest bidder’s failure to meet their financial obligations. As a result, they had to forfeit 40 million dong for each license plate.
One of the license plates involved in this process is 30K-555.55. This exclusive VIP plate was initially auctioned for a staggering 14.12 billion dong on September 15th. Subsequently, the winning bidder attempted to resell it for 20 billion dong, but naturally, no one was willing to pay such an exorbitant amount to repurchase it. As a result, the license plate 30K-555.55 has been re-auctioned today, November 4, 2023.
Even more astonishingly, during this re-auction, the license plate 30K-555.55 managed to surpass its previous bid. In less than 8 minutes, the exclusive VIP plate garnered bids exceeding 14 billion dong. With only 52 minutes remaining, the bidding rounds were not very active. However, in the last 3 seconds, a bidder placed two bids, leading to the auction of the license plate 30K-555.55 for 14.495 billion dong.
Compared to the initial auction, the second round saw a bidding increase of 375 million dong for the license plate 30K-555.55. Consequently, many people are eager to find out if any prominent figure will boldly pay nearly 14.5 billion dong to acquire the license plate 30K-555.55 and fulfill the financial obligations promptly, or if they will face a similar forfeiture situation as experienced during the first auction.
According to the regulations, the winning bidder for the license plate 30K-555.55 must pay the entire auction amount within 15 days from the date of the result announcement. This payment will be deducted from the pre-bidding amount of 40 million dong, but it does not include vehicle registration fees.
Furthermore, the winner of the license plate 30K-555.55 auction is required to register the plate for their vehicle within 12 months. Failure to meet this deadline would result in the transfer of the license plate to the vehicle management and registration system, and the winning bidder would not receive a refund for the auction amount paid.
