In April, Harley-Davidson, in collaboration with Chinese company QianJiang, announced the release of their second affordable big-displacement motorcycle, the X500. The Harley-Davidson X500 is now available for purchase in the Chinese market, with a listed price of 44,388 NDT (equivalent to 151 million VND).
This price is quite reasonable compared to other Harley-Davidson branded motorcycles, albeit slightly higher than the Benelli Leoncino 500, which is priced at 44,000 NDT. In Vietnam, the Benelli Leoncino 500 has been imported and is priced at nearly 150 million VND.
When compared to the Leoncino 500, the Harley-Davidson X500 features a unique design, reminiscent of the old Sportster models, with a straighter tail and a fuel tank design that harks back to classic muscle bikes. Harley-Davidson fans will also notice the familiar turn signal design, which is currently used on many of their models.
The Harley-Davidson X500 is equipped with a 500cc engine, producing 47 horsepower. The X350 model has a top speed of 143 km/h, while the 500cc variant can reach a top speed of 160 km/h.
Once launched, the Harley-Davidson X350 will face competition from the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Honda CB350, and Benelli Imperiale 400. On the other hand, the X500 will have to contend with the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and Benelli 502C.
