As the year comes to an end, car manufacturers are engaging in intense competition to boost sales. This includes significant discounts on compact sedans.

Honda City

In October, customers buying the Honda City will enjoy a 50% waiver on government registration fees, which is equivalent to around 30 million VND. Some dealerships are also offering free accessories worth 50 – 70 million VND as gifts.

Currently, the Honda City is available in Vietnam in three versions (RS, L, G) and comes in six exterior colors. The price of the car ranges from 559 – 609 million VND.

Due to its higher price range in the segment, the City is receiving numerous attractive promotions.

Toyota Vios

As a domestically assembled model, customers purchasing the Toyota Vios during this period will also benefit from a 50% waiver on government registration fees, which translates into a discount of 24 – 30 million VND (depending on the version). Some dealerships are also offering additional discounts of 10 – 20 million VND for customers.

The top-of-the-line Vios G CVT receives the highest discount of up to 50 million VND, reducing the price to only 542 million VND.

The Toyota Vios 2023 is available in three versions: E MT, E CVT, and G CVT. The listed prices for the car are 479 million, 542 million, and 592 million VND respectively.

Hyundai Accent

Despite the popularity and consistent sales performance, the Hyundai Accent is still receiving a slight discount of around 30 million VND from select dealerships.

Currently, the Hyundai Accent is available in Vietnam with four versions, priced from 426 – 542 million VND.

Thanks to its reliable performance and affordable price, the Accent continues to attract customers.

Mitsubishi Attrage

Although it does not qualify for the 50% waiver on government registration fees due to being an imported car, the Mitsubishi Attrage is receiving aggressive promotional campaigns from the manufacturer and dealerships to compete with its segment rivals.

As a result, all three versions of the Mitsubishi Attrage are now offered with a 100% waiver on government registration fees, resulting in a discount of 38 – 49 million VND.

The Mitsubishi Attrage is currently distributed as a completely built unit import from Thailand, with prices ranging from 380 – 490 million VND.

Despite its affordable price, which is comparable to A-segment cars, the Attrage does not rank among the top-selling models. It usually trails behind the Vios, Accent, and City in terms of sales.

Nissan Almera

Customers who purchase the Nissan Almera this month will also benefit from a 100% waiver on government registration fees, with discounts of up to 70 million VND for the top-level version.

The car is currently imported and sold in Vietnam in two versions: CVT and CVT Premium. The listed prices for the car are 539 million VND and 595 million VND respectively.

Thanks to this promotion, the price of the top-level Almera is now on par with the Toyota Vios, making it a competitive option.

Suzuki Ciaz

In an effort to stimulate sales, the Suzuki Ciaz is also being offered with a 50% waiver on government registration fees, resulting in a discount of around 26 million VND. The post-discount price of the car is now only 503 million VND.

Compared to its competitors in the segment, the Suzuki Ciaz is considered to have relatively limited features. However, its selling price remains high and not well-balanced.

This promotion is expected to enhance its competitiveness against rivals in the same segment, such as the Honda City, Hyundai Accent, and Toyota Vios.
