From the 1980s until the present, Harley-Davidson has been releasing a special series every 5 years to celebrate the company’s birthday. If we count from the time the idea of a two-wheeled motorcycle with a small engine was conceived in 1903 until now, Harley-Davidson has reached the impressive age of 120 years.
Earlier this year, Harley-Davidson unveiled the “120th Anniversary 2023” collection, featuring 7 special models: Fat Boy 114 Anniversary, Heritage Classic 114 Anniversary, Street Glide Special Anniversary, Ultra Limited Anniversary, Road Glide Special Anniversary, Tri Glide Ultra Anniversary, and CVO Road Glide Limited Anniversary 117ci.
Harley-Davidson Vietnam recently announced that the 120th anniversary collection will be introduced in Vietnam on July 5, 2023. These new models will be showcased at Harley-Davidson showrooms across the country.
Except for the CVO Road Glide Limited Anniversary 117ci, all other 6 models in the collection are painted with the signature Heirloom Red exterior color. These models exhibit vibrant red stripes and a dark red interior color that gradually transitions from dark to light.
The seats of these bikes are also covered in red, and the gas tanks proudly display the “Harley-Davidson” logo, along with the 120th anniversary markings, which are elegantly adorned with a soaring eagle design inspired by Art Deco. Among them, the grand-tourer CVO Road Glide, developed to commemorate 120 years of excellence, boasts a special paint color that sets it apart from the other variants.
The Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide, celebrating its 120th anniversary, features a black main color, highlighted with Heirloom Red painted details and flying eagle decals, giving the Road Glide Limited version a distinctive appearance.
Apart from the paint and decorative elements, the 120th anniversary Harley-Davidson models do not differ from their regular counterparts in terms of technical specifications.
It’s worth noting that the production of the Harley-Davidson 120th anniversary editions is limited worldwide. Specifically, the Softail lineup will have the highest production numbers, with 3,000 units of the Fat Boy 114 Anniversary and 1,700 units of the Heritage Classic 114 Anniversary.
The Street Glide Special Anniversary and Road Glide Special Anniversary will each have a production quantity of 1,600. Furthermore, there will be 1,300 units of the Ultra Limited Anniversary and 1,100 units of the Tri Glide Ultra Anniversary. Harley-Davidson will only manufacture 1,500 units of the CVO Road Glide Limited Anniversary 120-year model. Each bike will be laser-engraved with a unique serial number on the gas tank.
