The Honda Accord 2024 has been launched in Thailand with three variations, and the estimated price is around 1-1.2 billion VND. The car is equipped with a hybrid engine that has a power output of 207 horsepower.
Honda has recently introduced the latest generation of the Accord in the Thai market. The car is available in three versions: E, EL, and RS. While the prices for each version have not yet been announced, Honda has stated that the E version will be priced under 1.53 million Baht (around 1 billion VND), the EL version will not exceed 1.67 million Baht (1.1 billion VND), and the RS version will be priced at less than 1.8 million Baht (1.2 billion VND).
The Honda Accord 2024 is the 11th generation of the car and was initially launched in the US market in October of last year. In terms of dimensions, the car measures 4980 x 1862 x 1449 mm (length x width x height) with a wheelbase of 2830 mm.
Similar to its “sibling” CR-V, the Honda Accord incorporates the brand’s new design philosophy that emphasizes minimalism and practicality. The front of the car features a large hexagonal grille with a fox-eye pattern. The headlight cluster is smaller than the previous generation and seamlessly connects to the front grille. At the rear, the 2024 Accord is fitted with horizontal LED taillights, replacing the C-shaped design seen in the previous generation.
The standard version of the car comes with automatic on/off LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, power-adjustable/foldable rearview mirrors, automatic wipers, a shark fin antenna, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The EL version features 18-inch wheels.
The top-of-the-line RS version of the 2024 Accord is equipped with cornering headlights, sequential LED turn signals both at the front and rear, and two silver-colored air vents on the front bumper. Additionally, this version also boasts some appearance changes such as a red RS logo on the front grille, black glossy mirror covers, and winglets.
The Honda Accord 2024 interior showcases an impressive 12.3-inch floating center control screen that supports Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and allows for software updates via WiFi. Other notable features within the sedan model include a 12-speaker Bose audio system, a 10.2-inch LCD dashboard, HUD display, smart key, and more. The RS version of the car comes with a card-type lock, active sound insulation technology, and a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade control.
In terms of safety features, the new generation Accord is equipped with the Honda Sensing safety technology package, which includes a range of advanced features such as driver attention warning, traffic sign recognition, surround monitoring screen, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist. From the EL version onwards, the car also includes an additional 4 front sensors, 4 rear sensors, and a multi-view camera system.
Under the hood, the Honda Accord 2024 sold in Thailand is powered by a hybrid engine, consisting of a 2.0L Atkinson Cycle 4-cylinder petrol engine combined with 2 electric motors, resulting in a total power output of 207 horsepower. It is paired with an e-CVT transmission and a lithium-ion battery pack.
Honda Thailand has already begun accepting orders for the 2024 Accord, with the first deliveries expected in October. After Thailand, the D-segment sedan will be introduced in other Southeast Asian markets, including Vietnam.
