According to the plan, the Honda CR-V 2024 will make its official debut in Vietnam on October 25. The SUV model’s new generation is now available for pre-order at dealerships, who have also revealed the expected price range before its launch.

In the Vietnamese market, the Honda CR-V 2024 will be offered in four versions: G version at a price of 849 million VND, L 2WD version at 899 million VND, L 4WD version at 949 million VND, and e:HEV version at 1.149 billion VND. These prices are quite close to the official selling prices, with only slight differences.

Compared to the previous generation, which had prices ranging from 998-1.118 billion VND, the starting price of the Honda CR-V 2024 is significantly lower. However, in comparison to other competitors in the same segment, the Japanese SUV is slightly more expensive. For instance, the Mazda CX-5 currently has prices ranging from 749-999 million VND, and the Hyundai Tucson ranges from 769-899 million VND.

According to sales consultants, the Vietnamese market will receive the Honda CR-V 2024 as completely built-up units imported from Thailand for the e:HEV version. The other three versions, G, L 2WD, and L 4WD, will be domestically assembled, following the production approach of the previous generation.

In terms of design, the Honda CR-V 2024 in Vietnam shares similarities with models in other markets. The new CR-V draws inspiration from the Ridgeline pickup and the Passport TrailSport SUV. One notable feature is the black honeycomb-patterned grille at the front. The front lighting system includes redesigned LED headlights and LED daytime running lights, blending well with the new grille. At the rear, the Honda CR-V 2024 showcases an elongated L-shaped taillight that extends to the rear wing, similar to the previous version but with improved lighting graphics for a more visually appealing look.

Entering the new generation, the Honda CR-V promises to offer a range of interior convenience features. Apart from a 10.2-inch digital display behind the steering wheel and a 9-inch center screen, this SUV will also include a head-up display (HUD). The entertainment system now boasts a 12-speaker Bose sound system, akin to the new Civic. Furthermore, the power-adjustable driver’s seat now features a memory function.

Similar to the Thai market, the new CR-V distributed in Vietnam comes with two seating configurations. The gasoline versions (G and L) have three rows of seats, accommodating seven passengers, similar to the previous generation. Meanwhile, the Hybrid version has two rows of seats, accommodating five passengers.

Regarding the powertrain, the Honda CR-V 2024 continues to adopt the same 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine as its predecessor, paired with a CVT gearbox. However, the new model also offers the option of all-wheel drive (AWD) on the highest gasoline version. Previously, the CR-V only had front-wheel drive.

The highlight of the Honda CR-V 2024 lies in its hybrid engine. The vehicle is equipped with an e:HEV powertrain, which consists of a 2.0L Atkinson Cycle 4-cylinder gasoline engine, two electric motors, and a CVT gearbox, delivering a total output of 207 horsepower and a maximum torque of 335 Nm.

In terms of safety, besides the premium safety package including Honda Sensing and LaneWatch, the Honda CR-V 2024 is also equipped with a 360-degree camera and active cornering lights. It also features an automatic high beam function that adjusts the lighting to reduce glare when oncoming vehicles are detected.
