Honda CR-V 2024 to make its debut in Vietnam on 25/10, ready to rival the CX-5

Honda Vietnam has officially announced the release date for the brand new 2024 Honda CR-V in Vietnam, which is set for October 25th. However, what remains uncertain is whether the CR-V will continue the trend of offering affordable prices, a question that has been on the minds of many.

Honda Vietnam has not yet revealed any additional information about the all-new Honda CR-V, such as its version, specifications, or price, beyond the launch date. However, dealerships have already started accepting deposits for the CR-V model, with an estimated minimum price of 1 billion VND.

Currently, dealerships are offering early booking deposits. If customers are not satisfied, the deposit will be refunded, along with incentives of around 25-30 million VND, which can be used for insurance or accessories. The car is expected to continue to be assembled locally and will have an environmentally friendly Hybrid version. Enthusiasts hope that the official price of the all-new 2024 Honda CR-V in Vietnam will also surprise everyone, following the recent trend of the Mazda CX-5 pricing.

In March 2023, the new generation Honda CR-V was launched in Thailand and subsequently arrived in many other markets in the region.

In the Thai market, the new Honda CR-V is available in two drivetrain options: e:HEV 2.0 Hybrid and 1.5 Turbo. The version with the traditional internal combustion engine is powered by a 4-cylinder gasoline engine, direct injection Dual VTC 1.5L TURBO, delivering a maximum power of 193 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 243 Nm at 1,700 – 5,000 rpm. It is combined with a CVT continuously variable transmission, offering 2WD and 4WD Real-Time AWD with Intelligent Control System.

The versions equipped with the 2.0 i-MMD Hybrid drivetrain are a combination of a 2.0L Atkinson 4-cylinder engine and a pair of electric motors, generating a combined power of 207 horsepower and a maximum torque of 335 Nm. They are paired with an E-CVT automatic transmission.

In terms of overall dimensions, the new Honda CR-V has a length of 4,694 mm, width of 1,864 mm, height of 1,692 mm, and a wheelbase length of 2,700 mm. Compared to the previous version, the all-new 6th-generation CR-V is longer by 84 mm, wider by 9 mm, taller by 3 mm, and has a longer wheelbase by 38 mm.

The outstanding external features of the 6th-generation Honda CR-V Thai version include 19-inch sports-style alloy wheels, full LED headlights, daytime running LED lights, LED fog lights, automatic on/off headlight system, LED taillights, piano black grille with chrome accents, black-colored integrated turn signal rearview mirrors, electrically adjustable and folding rearview mirrors, and automatic folding rearview mirrors when locking the car.

In addition, the car also has a shark fin antenna, black rear bumper, RS front and rear emblems, rain sensing wipers, panoramic sunroof, and power-operated tailgate…

The interior of the car is wrapped in leather/suede with red stitching. The passenger compartment materials are glossy aluminum and piano black. The accelerator and brake pedals have a sports design. The touch screen infotainment system is 9 inches in size and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection, Siri voice command system, wireless bluetooth connection, and 4 USB ports (2 front/2 rear). It is also equipped with a BOSE sound system with 12 speakers and the Honda CONNECT connectivity system.

The car features a remote engine start system with a remote key, Honda Smart Key smart key card, automatic air conditioning system with rear vents for the last row and vents for the third row (with the 7-seater version), air purifier system, and interior ambient lighting system. The driver’s seat is 8-way power-adjustable with a memory function, while the passenger seat is 4-way power-adjustable. The rear seats can be folded in a 60:40 ratio, and the third-row seats can be folded in a 50:50 ratio.

In addition, the car also includes auto-dimming rearview mirrors, wireless phone charging, an electronic parking brake system, a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, and a HUD screen…
