Hyundai is generating excitement in India with the news of an upcoming launch of the Creta facelift in early 2023. The Korean automaker has been conducting tests of the Creta facelift in various markets, aiming to make substantial changes and maintain a competitive advantage in the compact SUV segment.

Recently leaked spy photos reveal several design updates on the Creta facelift. Among the noticeable changes are the redesigned split headlights featuring inverted L-shaped LED daytime running lights. Additionally, a new roof rack and alloy wheels are now part of the package.

At the rear, the Creta facelift boasts a fresh look with a new H-shaped taillight cluster, a redesigned rear bumper, blacked-out B-pillars, and an enhanced trunk lid. These modifications contribute to the car’s distinctiveness, setting it apart from its rivals.

Hyundai is renowned for equipping its models with abundant features and amenities, and the Creta facelift is expected to continue this tradition. Inside the cabin, the updated Creta will likely receive a larger infotainment system with improved connectivity capabilities. The control panel layout may also be enhanced, and there are rumors of a possible inclusion of a digital instrument cluster.

Safety is a top priority for Hyundai, and the Creta facelift is anticipated to offer advanced safety features. These may include automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist. The upgraded model is also likely to come with six airbags as standard.

While details about the available powertrain options are still under wraps, it is expected that the Creta facelift will retain a range of petrol and diesel engines. These may include a naturally aspirated 1.5L petrol engine delivering 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque, a turbocharged 1.5L petrol engine with 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of torque, and a 1.5L diesel engine producing 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque.
