Despite the fact that the KIA EV5 has already been launched in China, we have only seen still images of the model up until now. Finally, however, we have the opportunity to take a closer look at the EV5 through a detailed video showcasing the actual car.

The KIA EV5 showcased in the video boasts a sleek, stylish, and dynamic design. Notably, the car features 19-inch 4-spoke wheels instead of the 3-spoke wheels seen on the concept version.

The video allows us to gain a better understanding of the size of the EV5, which appears relatively compact when compared to its surroundings. This doesn’t come as a surprise, given that we already know the car has an overall length of 4,615 mm and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, similar to the dimensions of the Kia Sportage and Tesla Model Y.

Furthermore, we are treated to an up-close view of the interior of the KIA EV5 in real life. The cabin takes inspiration from the EV9, featuring a wide and minimalist dashboard akin to the EV9. Additionally, a panoramic widescreen display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen are also present. The 4-spoke steering wheel incorporates most of the controls, while Kia has opted for physical buttons for the air conditioning. The video also reveals dual USB-C ports, wireless charging capabilities, and multiple storage compartments. Furthermore, the rear seats can be folded flat to provide ample cargo space.

Like other electric vehicles in the Hyundai/Kia family, the EV5 is expected to utilize the E-GMP platform. At this time, the Korean automaker has not disclosed the specifications of the electric drivetrain. However, leaked documents from China suggest that the Kia EV5 intended for the Chinese market will be equipped with a single electric motor producing 215 horsepower and a maximum torque of 310 Nm, providing front-wheel drive capabilities.
