When Jaguar F-Type made its debut in 2013, many skeptics questioned the development journey of this sports car model. Now, after 11 years, the era of the elusive “spotted jaguar” sports car is coming to an end. Jaguar has just unveiled the F-Type ZP Edition 2024, which will be the final edition of this model before it is discontinued in 2025.
Just like the standard version, customers have the option to choose between the coupe and convertible variants. Jaguar has entrusted the design and upgrades of the F-Type ZP Edition model to their SV Bespoke department.
Customers can opt for two exterior paint options: Oulton Blue Gloss, a deep blue color, and Crystal Grey Gloss, a white color that takes inspiration from the classic E-Type cars.
The interior cabin of the blue edition features red and black tones, while the other variant comes with blue and black accents. This color scheme is a first for the F-Type, according to Jaguar.
Each Jaguar F-Type ZP Edition 2024 proudly features a bright white round emblem on the door, paying homage to the iconic E-Type racing cars that were launched in 1961. The white-painted grille surround adds another touch of distinction to the exterior.
Furthermore, the car is equipped with newly designed 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. The mirror caps and brake calipers are painted black. Inside the cabin, a metal plaque engraved with the words “One of 150” serves as a reminder of the exclusivity of this limited edition, as only 150 F-Type ZP Edition cars will be produced globally.
Performance-wise, users can expect impressive power from the F-Type ZP Edition, which is equipped with the F-Type R P575 drivetrain. The 5.0-liter V8 turbocharged engine generates a robust power output of 575 horsepower and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. This power is harnessed through an 8-speed automatic transmission, propelling the car from 0 to 96 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 300 km/h.
Starting in 2025, Jaguar has committed to exclusively producing electric models. As for the final edition of the F-Type, the pricing has not been announced. However, based on the starting price of the standard F-Type R P575 in 2024, which is $114,275, the limited edition version is estimated to reach up to $150,000.
The Jaguar F-Type has been a niche sports car model in Vietnam. Before the Jaguar distributor halted its sales, the 2021 version of this model had a starting price of VND 5.65 billion. Due to its high price and underwhelming design and performance, the number of new F-Type cars in Vietnam has been extremely limited.
