Last month, Kia announced that the 2024 EV9 will have a starting price of $54,900 in the US market. And now, the Korean automaker has released the pricing for other variants.
Let’s start with the EV9 Light Long Range variant priced at $59,200. This version is essentially the same as the base Light model but with a 6-seat interior. Buyers will also receive HomeLink and a few options including a sunroof and heated steering wheel, which are not available on the standard version.
The most notable upgrade on the EV9 Light Long Range is the 99.8 kWh battery pack, which powers a rear-mounted electric motor, producing 201 horsepower and a maximum torque of 349 Nm. This power enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 8.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 115 mph. The vehicle has a range of 300 miles on a full charge.
Moving up to the EV9 Wind e-AWD variant with a starting price of $63,900, users will receive a more stylish exterior with LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and 19-inch alloy wheels. This version also features a panoramic sunroof and power-adjustable tailgate.
Inside the cabin, the car is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and a 5-inch HVAC screen. The 7-seat model also has SynTex upholstery, a heated steering wheel, a wireless charging pad, and 3-zone automatic climate control. Additionally, the front seats are heated and ventilated with 8-way power adjustability.
In terms of safety, the vehicle is equipped with Intelligent Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, Highway Driving Assist 2, and Forward Collision Avoidance Assist. This model also has Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist/Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Lane Following Assist. It also features automatic headlights, Rear Occupant Alert with Ultrasonic Sensors, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning, Parking Distance Warning, and Safe Exit Assist, among others.
The EV9 Wind e-AWD is equipped with dual electric motors and a 4WD system, producing 379 horsepower and a maximum torque of 600 Nm. This power allows the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 124 mph. This version has a range of 270 miles on a full charge.
Those who want a more premium variant can choose the EV9 Land e-AWD, which starts at $69,900. The vehicle has a modified exterior with new LED headlights, illuminated grille, and larger 20-inch alloy wheels. It also features auto-dimming rearview mirrors and gloss black accents.
Inside the cabin, the EV9 Land e-AWD variant has a 6-seat configuration, digital rearview mirror, illuminated badges on the steering wheel, rear sunshades, and ambient interior lighting. Buyers will also receive heated and ventilated rear seats and a 14-speaker Meridian sound system.
This version has a maximum range of approximately 270 miles on a full charge.
Lastly, the top-end GT-Line e-AWD variant of the EV9 is priced from $73,900. This flagship version features a unique front bumper, steel accents, and 21-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, buyers will receive exclusive interior trim accents. Kia did not delve into specific details but stated that the car has premium suede headliner, stainless steel pedals, and special seats with GT-Line logo. Other highlights include a heads-up display, self-leveling rear suspension, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and Collision Avoidance Assist – Front, Rear, and Side.
In terms of performance, the vehicle is equipped with dual electric motors and a 4WD system with increased torque of 699 Nm. However, the range of this version is limited to approximately 245 miles.
