The new generation Lexus GX, which was launched globally last month, is now available with two engine options: a turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine and a 2.4L turbocharged hybrid 4-cylinder engine.
Built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) GA-F platform, similar to the LX, the updated GX has a length of 4,950 mm, a width of 1,980 mm, and a height of 1,865 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.
This upcoming launch event will mark the first time the GX model will be available in the Australian market. Previous generations of the GX were only sold in North America and select other markets.
Detailed information regarding pricing and technical specifications for the 2024 Lexus GX in the Australian market has not yet been announced. However, Lexus Australia has stated that the GX will initially be offered with a powerful turbocharged V6 engine that produces 415 PS/650 Nm, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive.
Australian customers will also have the option to choose the Overtrail version, which features a 5-seat configuration and enhanced off-road capabilities. In addition to unique features for each variant, the Overtrail version also comes equipped with the Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS).
Furthermore, the Overtrail version offers the Multi-Terrain Select driving mode, which provides 6 different modes including Auto, Dirt, Sand, Mud, Deep Snow, and Rock.
All variants of the 2024 Lexus GX come standard with the Lexus Safety System+ safety system, as well as Lexus Connected Services connectivity.
