After being launched in the domestic market for six months, the Mazda3 C-size sedan facelift has recently been introduced to the Southeast Asian market.
As a result, the car will be distributed in the form of fully imported models from Japan, with four variations including both sedan and hatchback. The price range will be from 156,059 – 175,059 RM (approximately 807 – 906 million VND).
Unlike other competitors, Mazda typically does not make significant design changes for facelift versions, and the 2023 Mazda3 is no exception.
Similar to the Japanese market, the most notable upgrade in the 2023 Mazda3 is in the interior. The car is equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, which is much larger compared to the 8.8-inch version in the previous model. Additionally, the car has USB-C ports, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a Bose 12-speaker audio system.
In terms of safety features, the 2023 Mazda3 offers various driver assistance features such as 4 rear sensors, 7 airbags, a reverse camera, ABS anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution EBD, emergency brake assist BA, traction control, and a hill-start assist system.
In the premium version, the car comes with additional features including 4 front sensors, adaptive headlights, headlight high beam control HBC, blind-spot warning, front vehicle cut-in warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, driver attention alert, and automatic emergency braking when moving or reversing, as well as a 360-degree camera.
In Malaysia, the option for a 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine is no longer available. The Mazda3 2023 in this market is now solely powered by a naturally aspirated Skyactiv-G 2.0L 4-cylinder petrol engine, with a maximum power output of 162 horsepower and a peak torque of 213 Nm. The engine comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Additionally, it is equipped with Start/Stop engine stop-start technology and G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC Plus) torque vectoring system.
After Malaysia, it is likely that the Mazda3 2023 will also arrive in Vietnam.
