Recently, Mercedes-Benz has announced the price adjustment of some official dealer-distributed models in our country.

Starting from January 1st, 2024, there will be price increases for five imported models, including GLE 450 4Matic, GLS 450 4Matic, GLE 53 AMG Coupe, GLS Maybach 480, and GLS Maybach 600. The price increase ranges from 50 to 120 million VND.

Customers who purchase the vehicles in 2023 will still enjoy the old prices. The German carmaker in Vietnam explained that this price increase is due to the impact of inflation and production cost fluctuations.

In contrast, the C-Class and GLC, which are locally assembled, will not be affected by price adjustments this time.

The price increases of Mercedes-Benz models have the potential to impact the company’s sales in a market where other luxury and mainstream car manufacturers are offering discounts and attractive promotions to attract customers.

It is worth noting that Mercedes-Benz has not offered significant discounts compared to BMW. In September this year, the brand implemented a discount of 65 to 110 million VND for the C-Class. Other promotions mainly include waiving 50 to 100% of the registration fees.

Unlike Mercedes-Benz, BMW is less affected by inflation as most of their models sold in Vietnam are locally assembled. As a result, BMW regularly offers attractive promotions and discounts to attract customers, with the highest discount reaching nearly 600 million VND. For example, the BMW X6 model has received a total discount of 1.259 billion VND since the beginning of the year.
