Since June 2023, Lexus has officially launched the luxury crossover TX 2024.
In the US market, the Lexus TX 2024 is available in 5 versions: TX 350, TX 350 Premium, TX 350 Luxury, TX 500h F Sport Performance Premium, and TX 500h F Sport Performance Luxury.
The prices range from $53,700 to $71,300 (approximately VND 1.3 – 1.73 billion) excluding transportation and delivery fees.
The Lexus TX is built on the GA-K platform, which it shares with the NX and RX models. However, Lexus has made adjustments to improve rigidity and minimize noise and vibration in the TX 2024.
The dimensions of the vehicle are similar to the Toyota Grand Highlander 2024, with a length x width x height of 5,158 x 1,989 x 1,780 mm and a wheelbase length of 2,948 mm.
The front of the Lexus TX 2024 stands out with a new grille design called the “Unified Spindle” that prioritizes aerodynamic performance. The slim headlights feature striking L-shaped LED daytime running lights.
The rear design of the Lexus TX is relatively simple, with the main highlight being the elongated taillights that span across the trunk. The wheels are offered in various pattern options, ranging in size from 20 to 22 inches.
For years, Lexus has applied minimalist aesthetics to its interior designs, and the TX 2024 follows this tradition. The SUV model offers different equipment packages: Standard, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Performance, with a wide range of options such as a head-up display, interior accent lighting, and a premium 21-speaker Mark Levinson audio system.
The Lexus TX 2024 has a standard luggage compartment capacity of 569 liters, which can be increased to 2,747 liters when the second and third-row seats are folded down.
The Lexus TX 2024 is available with three engine options.
The first option is a turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 275 horsepower and a maximum torque of 429 Nm. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive system. It is used in the TX 350, TX 350 Premium, and TX 350 Luxury versions.
The second option is a hybrid powertrain that combines a turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with a 6-speed transmission and a 4-wheel Direct4 AWD drivetrain. The powertrain produces a maximum power of 366 horsepower and a maximum torque of 554 Nm. It is used in the TX 500h F Sport Performance version.
Lastly, the premium TX 500h F Sport Performance Luxury comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain featuring a V6 gasoline engine with a capacity of 3.5L, an electric motor, and a CVT continuously variable transmission. The total power output is 406 horsepower. This version has a fuel consumption of 7.8L/100km combined and an electric range of up to 53 km.
In terms of safety features, the vehicle is equipped with the standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which includes features such as active cruise control at all speeds, lane-keeping assist, pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection. In addition, there are features such as lane departure warning, steering assist, traffic sign recognition, and active driving assist.
