Piaggio has recently launched the Vespa GTS 300 2019 in the European market, marking its most powerful scooter model to date. Initially showcased at the EICMA 2018 exhibition in Milan, the 2019 version of the GTS 300 is now equipped with a new high-performance engine (HPE).
Featuring a single-cylinder engine with a displacement of 278 cc, the Vespa GTS 300 delivers a maximum power of 23.8 horsepower and a peak torque of 26 Nm. The upgraded engine includes a new piston and cylinder, enhancing the performance of the combustion chamber and resulting in a 12% increase in power and an 18% increase in torque. Piaggio claims that this new engine not only provides improved performance but also offers better fuel efficiency. Additionally, the engine complies with the latest emission regulations.
With a fuel consumption rate of 31.2 km/liter, the Vespa GTS 300 allows for a maximum range of 260 km when the 8.5-liter fuel tank is fully filled. The scooter also boasts a steel body, new LED headlights, and a fresh seat design. Impressively, the storage compartment of the Vespa GTS 300 has the capacity to hold two half-face helmets and is equipped with a USB port for smartphone charging.
Moreover, the Vespa GTS 300 stands out with its features such as Bluetooth support and the Bike Finder app, which helps users easily locate their scooter in busy parking lots. The TFT display screen presents essential vehicle information like fuel level and distance traveled.
The 2019 GTS 300 is available in five variants: GTS, GTS Touring, GTS Super, GTS SuperSport, and GTS SuperTech. The pricing for these models has yet to be announced.
