The new generation Toyota Fortuner is set to undergo significant design changes and is expected to debut towards the end of 2024 or early 2025.

Rumors suggest that the design of the upcoming Toyota Fortuner will draw inspiration from the Tacoma pickup truck. To aid in visualizing the new D-sized SUV model, Q Cars channel has created a sketch of the expected design.

As per the sketch, the new generation Fortuner will feature a more muscular and robust appearance. The front of the vehicle will stand out with a large grille, new LED headlights, and daytime running lights. Additionally, a wider skid plate and an expanded air intake on the front bumper will give this 7-seater SUV model a more aggressive look.

The rear of the car will also sport redesigned taillights and a fine-tuned rear bumper, along with trapezoidal dual exhausts.

Owing to the use of the new TNGA-F platform, the 2024 Toyota Fortuner will be larger in size, resulting in a more spacious and comfortable interior. Additionally, the car is expected to come equipped with a sunroof and an advanced ADAS driving assistance system.

The cabin is anticipated to offer more premium amenities, such as a larger touchscreen infotainment display, improved connectivity options, and enhanced safety technology.

Current Toyota Fortuner

It is highly probable that the new generation Fortuner will feature an electrified powertrain, combining hybrid technology with a 2.8L turbo-diesel 4-cylinder engine.

According to Toyota’s estimates, the addition of mild-hybrid technology will help the car achieve approximately 10% better fuel efficiency compared to the current version.

In the Vietnamese market, the Toyota Fortuner competes in the D-segment SUV segment against rivals such as the Kia Sorento, Ford Everest, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, and Hyundai Santa Fe.
