Yamaha Motor Vietnam introduced an upgraded version of the Grande scooter model on September 22, 2022, with additional features. The scooter is positioned in the premium segment and has a youthful and fashionable appearance, along with elegant and sophisticated design elements. It caters to the preferences of young female customers in Vietnam.
The 2022 Grande scooter offers a range of 6 variants, with prices ranging from 45.2 to 51 million VND. The standard Grande Hybrid variant is priced at 45.2 million VND, the limited Grande Hybrid variant at 49.6 million VND, and the special Grande Hybrid variant at 49.1 million VND.
Now, let’s delve into the details of this scooter and take a closer look at the Yamaha Grande through a quick review.
The Yamaha Grande boasts a classic, elegant, and luxurious design with sleek curves that enhance its overall aesthetic appeal.
The scooter features a diamond-shaped design on the front mask, complemented by LED lights that enhance the lighting performance.
What sets the front fairing apart is the additional LED strip for daytime running lights, which adds a youthful touch while preserving its characteristic femininity.
The turn signals on the scooter are sleekly designed and placed vertically, resembling the daytime running lights. Furthermore, the turn signals blink to indicate when the rider activates the find vehicle button on the key.
The rear handlebar and tail of the scooter have an elongated design, while the seat height of 79 cm makes it suitable for the average height of Vietnamese people, especially women.
Additionally, the taillight of the scooter utilizes minimalist LED technology.
When it comes to safety, the scooter is equipped with an advanced ABS braking system.
The 2022 version of the Yamaha Grande features an electronic display with a diamond-shaped design, similar to the headlight, offering improved color visibility. In addition to displaying speed, current time, and fuel level, the display also notifies the rider of incoming calls, messages, emails, and the phone’s battery status when connected to a device. Yamaha has also included the Y-connect app for the Grande, which assists with finding parking spots and provides maintenance and oil change recommendations.
Beneath the seat, there is a spacious storage compartment with a capacity of up to 27 liters, allowing users to store items such as laptops and helmets. The storage compartment is equipped with a practical LED light, phone charger, and additional storage space.
The fuel filler cap is conveniently located at the front, ensuring easy refueling. The premium variant of the scooter also comes with a smart key system.
The side stand and rear footrest now feature electric functions for easy deployment with a simple tap.
The Yamaha Grande deluxe variant is equipped with the Blue Core Hybrid 125cc engine, air-cooled, and features Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) and an intelligent generator system similar to the previous generation. The Blue Core Hybrid engine helps to reduce fuel consumption to 1.66 liters per 100 km, making it more economical than the previous model’s consumption rate of 1.69 liters per 100 km. Consequently, the Yamaha Grande remains the most fuel-efficient scooter in Vietnam.
The scooter also comes with a Temporary Engine Cut-Off (Stop and Start System) that automatically shuts off the engine when the scooter is stationary and restarts when the rider twists the throttle.
Furthermore, with a weight of only 101 kg, the scooter is lightweight and easy to maneuver. However, this can also pose challenges for female riders in strong winds.
