Featuring a total of 32 new changes, the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022 is set to be a strong contender in the affordable 7-seater MPV segment, with the standout feature being its mild hybrid engine.

In 2022, Suzuki didn’t hold back and introduced the Hybrid Ertiga, a 7-seater MPV equipped with a mild hybrid version, after Toyota launched the all-new Veloz Cross, Mitsubishi unveiled a facelift version of the Xpander, and Hyundai brought Stargazer to the Vietnamese market.

The star of the show is the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022, powered by a 1.5L engine that features an integrated starter generator (ISG) located behind the main engine. It is accompanied by a 6,000mAh – 12V lithium-ion battery positioned beneath the driver’s seat with fast charging capabilities and excellent durability.

The hybrid system positively impacts the vehicle’s engine, enhancing its performance when carrying heavy loads within 30 seconds or restarting the engine to reduce load and improve fuel consumption.

Thanks to the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology, the Hybrid Ertiga 2022 achieves remarkable fuel efficiency, consuming just 5.05L per 100km. The vehicle can save up to 33% fuel and reduce up to 6 tonnes of CO2 emissions per 100,000km driven.

The battery’s lifespan is estimated to be up to 10 years. Afterwards, it will be repurposed for solar-powered street lighting systems in order to minimize environmental impact. The manufacturer has also announced that the cost of replacing the battery after the 5-year warranty period is 29.9 million VND.

In terms of overall structure, the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022 retains the boxy shape typical of MPVs, similar to its predecessor. The car’s dimensions are 4,395 x 1,735 x 1,690mm, with a wheelbase of 2,740mm.

The front of the car undergoes a significant change, with a more modern grille featuring a 3D design and shiny chrome details shaped like a boomerang.

The main headlights still come with projectors and now feature an automatic on/off mode based on environmental conditions. Additionally, the Guide me light function illuminates the way to the house after parking and turning off the car.

Accompanying the new grille, the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022 sports an upgraded air intake area. An LED position light strip, matching the grille’s design, has been added, giving the car a more rugged and aggressive appearance.

The Hybrid Ertiga 2022 also features fog lights to enhance visibility, especially in foggy conditions in mountainous areas.

Moving to the rear of the vehicle, the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022 now boasts a sleek chrome-trimmed tailgate, complete with a reversing camera and parking sensors for added safety. Moreover, the power tailgate with trunk kick function adds convenience, especially when hands are occupied with shopping bags.

Furthermore, the Sport Limited version offers sporty and personalized exterior accessories, including a rear spoiler, door handle covers, step sills, rain visors, front and rear bumper covers, and side moldings.

The Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022’s interior doesn’t undergo significant changes but focuses on small improvements. The overall color scheme has shifted to gray-black, lending a more luxurious feel to the cabin.

The carbon-fiber pattern on the dashboard, door trim, and other areas has been replaced with a new wood grain pattern, creating a cozy and elegant atmosphere. The car features a 10-inch center screen with smart connectivity, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Notable additional features include an electronic rearview mirror with an integrated driving camera, wireless charging for smart devices, and most importantly, the D-cut steering wheel with cruise control – a feature that users have been patiently anticipating, and Suzuki has finally delivered.

Another small yet convenient feature is the soft leather-wrapped armrest, complemented by built-in cup holders with cooling vents for front seat passengers.

Similarly to its predecessor, the Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022 still offers a spacious cabin capable of accommodating 7 passengers. The rear seats are adjustable, including sliding, reclining, and folding abilities to provide a customisable space according to specific needs.

Behind the steering wheel, the MID display screen provides detailed real-time information about the hybrid engine’s operation. The manual version is additionally equipped with GSI lights to indicate the operating gear number.

The new Suzuki Hybrid Ertiga 2022 is more convenient, economical, safer, and environmentally friendly. It is available in 3 versions at 41 dealerships nationwide, with prices ranging from 539 to 678 million VND. The car comes in 6 optional colors and is ready for immediate delivery in October 2022.
