Racing Competes in HTV Challenge Cup 2020 with Mitsubishi Triton
Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam (MMV) and the professional off-road racing team, Racing AKA, have joined forces to take part in the "HTV Challenge Cup 2020 Terrain Challenge", an annual off-road car racing event. Racing AKA will be utilizing the New Mitsubishi Triton as they go head-to-head with two other teams, making history as the first all-female racing team to compete in the event.
HTV Challenge Cup 2020 – the most significant off-road racing event in the country will be held at HTV Hoa Phu film studio (Cu Chi) on November 15 (mountain biking and off-road motorcycles) and from November 19 to 22 (off-road cars), with the participation of around 300 athletes from all over the country. Notably, this year’s off-road car racing will feature female racers.
Racing AKA is a professional off-road sports racing team that was launched in Hanoi on June 12, 2019. The team created a huge surprise when it first took part in the challenging AXCR – national rally racing in the Asian region within the International Automobile Federation (FIA) racing system last year.
Coming to HTV Challenge Cup 2020, the Racing AKA team will participate with 2 competing teams. In their first year participating in the HTV Challenge Cup 2020 race, Racing AKA promises to deliver exciting and captivating performances to the audience with the presence of female racers.
Their New Mitsubishi Triton will be well taken care of, maintained, and prepared with technical support from the team of specialists from Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam and the famous tire manufacturer Toyo Tires.
In addition to the skills and extensive experience of the racers, the 2.4L MIVEC DIESEL engine with electronically controlled variable valve timing and the renowned Super Select 4WD-II 2WD system of Mitsubishi, along with 4 terrain modes (Gravel – Mud – Sand – Rock), will make it easy for the racers to conquer off-road routes as well as provide a perfect off-road driving experience.
