This electric sports crossover model has been spotted multiple times during testing and is expected to set a new standard for electric sports car enthusiasts, much like its predecessor, the Taycan. In the most recent photos, the car has been fully revealed without any camouflage, with the standout feature being the split positioning of the positioning lights, while the headlights are positioned below.
The rear of the car indicates that the spoiler can be opened or concealed above the taillights. The overall appearance of the car remains unchanged from the petrol-powered versions. The rear lights of this model are still disguised, making it indistinguishable from the regular petrol version.
As the first Porsche to utilize the 800-volt PPE structure, which is shared with some new Audi EVs, the Macan EV will feature fast charging capabilities upon its release. Charging from 5% to 25% will only take approximately 25 minutes. It is highly likely that the version seen on the test track is not the expected Turbo variant, which is anticipated to have a power output of up to 600 horsepower.
The latest photos do not reveal any details about the design and interior layout. The electric version of the Macan will have an entirely new curved gauge cluster comprised entirely of digital technology, following the trend set by Porsche’s upgraded models, where the renowned analog speedometer is replaced by a digital display. This digital gauge cluster is not the sole screen in the SUV’s interior.
The car also features a central touchscreen, offering a front passenger screen and a lower touch panel in place of a traditional gear lever. The singular dial retains a similar design, with a stopwatch integrated into the control panel. This may be part of the Sport Chrono function package and can be utilized for timed racing.
An electric drivetrain, a fully digital interior, and a larger SUV body are not typically associated with Porsche. As a result, this model will undoubtedly garner attention when it is officially launched in its complete form.
