Following the customer’s failure to meet the financial obligation after bidding 32 billion VND, the Vietnam Auction Joint Stock Company has officially re-listed the license plate number 51K-888.88 for auction.
As a result, this highly coveted VIP license plate is being re-auctioned in the first hour slot from 8 – 9 am on October 21, along with over 400 other license plates.
Right at the start of the auction, the bid price for the license plate 51K-888.88 quickly soared. Within 15 minutes, the highest bid had reached 8 billion VND.
At the conclusion of the session, the winning bid for this VIP plate stood at 15.265 billion VND, less than half of its previous value of 32 billion VND.
Previously, on September 15, the Vietnam Auction Joint Stock Company held its inaugural auction session, successfully auctioning off 11 license plates for a total sum of 82 billion VND.
Among them, the “ultra-stylish” license plate 51K-888.88 was bought for 32.34 billion VND by a prominent figure, while the highest bid for the 30K-555.55 plate (Hanoi) reached 14.12 billion VND. It is worth noting that the person who secured the winning bids for both the “ultra-stylish” license plates 51K-888.88 and 30K-567.89 is a noted figure from Thanh Hoa province.
However, even after the 15-day period following the announcement of the auction results had elapsed, this individual failed to fulfill their financial obligations. Consequently, the license plate has been put up for auction once again in subsequent sessions.
