On September 23, the MG Cyberster pure electric sports car was unveiled in Vietnam alongside the New MG5 and MG RX5 models.
Surprisingly, some dealers have already started accepting deposits for this model. The MG Cyberster is expected to be priced between 2.2 and 2.4 billion VND. Customers who place orders now may have to wait until May 2024 to receive their car.
Vietnam is among the first countries to accept deposits for this model.
The MG Cyberster is a convertible in the C-size segment. It measures 4,535 x 1,913 x 1,329 mm (length x width x height) with a wheelbase of 2,690 mm.
With its muscular and charismatic appearance, the car boasts a well-proportioned body, long bonnet, and a bulging tail section that gives it a muscular look.
At the rear, an elongated LED strip wraps around the tail, along with taillights featuring integrated arrow-shaped turn indicator lights mounted on the black decorative air vent. The most notable feature is the unique scissor-like door design, similar to Lamborghini models.
The driver’s compartment of the MG Cyberster features only two seats with Y-shaped sports seats. The car is equipped with a flat-bottomed sports steering wheel, integrated paddles to adjust the energy recovery system, and a curved digital instrument cluster that consists of three screens on the dashboard.
MG also provides a screen placed on the center armrest of the Cyberster, along with a modern integrated infotainment system powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 and Unreal Engine 4.0 graphics. This system is combined with premium Bose speakers.
The MG Cyberster is available in three motor options. The standard version is equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor with a maximum power of 309 horsepower. The mid-range version features a rear-mounted electric motor with 335 horsepower.
The most powerful version utilizes two electric motors with a total power of 536 horsepower and a maximum torque of 725 Nm, paired with four-wheel drive. With this power, the Cyberster can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
The top speed of the MG Cyberster is limited to 200 km/h for dual-motor variants and 193 km/h for single-motor versions.
The Cyberster is available with two types of batteries: 64 kWh and 77 kWh, offering a travel range of 501 km, 520 km, and 580 km, respectively, according to the CLTC test cycle in China.
