The 5-door Jimny, although not available in Suzuki’s hometown, has gained popularity in Africa, South America, and even Japan.

In Japan, Suzuki only sells the 3-door version of the Jimny due to the market preference for small cars, known as kei-cars.

However, the 5-door Jimny has recently attracted attention from users in Africa, South America, and Japan.

To cater to the demand in Japan, the manufacturing plant in India has decided to export the 5-door Jimny back to the Japanese market.

Additionally, Suzuki has introduced an electric-only version of the Jimny for the European market and plans to unveil a fuel-saving hybrid version in the future.

In Vietnam, Suzuki has also confirmed that the 3-door Jimny will be launched at the end of 2023.

Dealers are already accepting deposits for the Jimny, with an expected selling price of 789 million VND for the single-tone version and 799 million VND for the two-tone version.
