The upgraded BMW S1000RR has undergone significant exterior design changes, from the front to the back, including modifications to the frame and aerodynamics. The front of the bike now features small aerodynamic wings on each side of the shock absorber system, inspired by the M1000RR super sport model. These wings increase downforce on the road, providing better grip during cornering and braking.
Moving to the rear, the tail of the 2023 S1000RR has been redesigned to give it a sportier and lighter appearance compared to the previous model. The frame of the bike still utilizes a Flex aluminum frame, composed of four cast parts that are welded together to form an integrated support component for the engine.
The main frame of the new BMW S1000RR features open holes on the side areas for a more aggressive look. Additionally, the handlebar angle has been flattened by 0.5 degrees, while the triple clamps have undergone a 3 mm reduction in travel compared to the previous model.
The performance aspect of the S1000RR has also received improvements, particularly with the upgraded inline-4 engine. The bike now delivers a maximum power output of 210 horsepower at 13,750 rpm, which is 3 horsepower higher than the predecessor model. The maximum torque of 113 Nm is generated at 11,000 rpm.
As for technology, the upgraded S1000RR is equipped with the Slide Control function within the Dynamic Traction Control system, allowing riders to select two predetermined drift angles for the traction control system when accelerating out of corners.
Furthermore, the ABS Pro braking system now includes a brake slide support function, enabling riders to set a specific slide angle, known as brake sliding, while sliding into corners at a maintained speed.
The BMW S1000RR, Honda CBR1000RR-R, and Kawasaki Ninja H2 are three models that currently showcase the most advanced technologies in the world of super motorcycles, both in Vietnam and globally. Enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the BMW S1000RR 2023 in Vietnam and are curious to know its expected price.
