The Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, an international racetrack, was officially inaugurated in April 2021. It has a total length of 4,301m and 17 curves, making it ready to challenge racers from around the world in Stage 4 ARRC 2023.

The racetrack is located in the Mandalika resort area on the island of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara province. It is one of Indonesia’s top 5 priority tourist destinations. When visiting Mandalika, visitors can enjoy not only the thrilling atmosphere of the ARRC 2023 race but also the beautiful tourist attractions, including white sandy beaches, lush green hills, and luxurious resorts.

One interesting fact about the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit is that the Pit Building central control tower is made from locally produced materials and utilizes the modular construction method of PT Wijaya Karya Building (PT WIKA).

Within only 21 days, the Pit Building central control tower of this internationally renowned racetrack was completed. It has been recognized by the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) as the fastest-built international-grade Pit Building using the modular system.

The Pit Building, which spans 350m in length, can accommodate 50 garages. It is built using a modular system with three floors. The first floor serves as garages for racing teams and technicians. Each garage is 5.24m wide and 18.34m long, covering a total construction area of 13,700 m2. The second floor is reserved for VIP guests, the Media Center, and the third floor houses various other support facilities.

To meet the requirements of world-class races like MotoGP, the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit employs the latest asphalt technology, using a Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) mixture. This advanced mixture enhances the structure of the road’s surface, ensuring optimal performance.

One unique aspect of the Indonesia Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit is that it can also operate as a tourist destination when there are no races taking place. Visitors can utilize the area around the racetrack for recreational activities such as running or walking while enjoying the picturesque scenery. Even if you visit Lombok for a regular vacation, you can still visit the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit to admire its grand design and take a leisurely stroll around the premises. Doesn’t that sound fascinating?

But it gets even more exciting if you visit the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit this weekend to cheer on the Vietnamese racers from the Honda Racing Vietnam team as they showcase their skills in Stage 4 of the Asia Road Racing Championship 2023.
