Toyota Vellfire: Premium MPV with Spacious Lounge, Refrigerator, and Clothes Hanger

During the upcoming Japan Mobility Show 2023, Toyota Auto Body (Toyota’s electric vehicle segment in Japan) will unveil several concept models, including the impressive 4-seat MPV called the Toyota Vellfire Spacious Lounge.

The Toyota Vellfire Spacious Lounge is developed based on the latest generation Vellfire, which was launched in late June 2023. While the standard version offers a 2+2+2 seating configuration with business class seats in the second row, this concept model features only 4 seats. This design choice allows for a more spacious rear space, providing ample legroom for passengers.

By maximizing cabin space, the Vellfire Spacious Lounge offers additional amenities such as a central armrest with a built-in refrigerator that can hold 2 bottles of champagne. Other features include clothes hangers, a workstation, and power outlets for those who need to work on the go. The integrated speakers in the headrest of the front seats promise to deliver the most vibrant and authentic sound experience for passengers.

To ensure privacy, the Toyota Vellfire Spacious Lounge is equipped with curtains separating the driver’s compartment from the passenger compartment. Additional storage compartments are located beneath the luxurious carpeted floor, allowing for convenient storage of bags or shoes. With these exceptional features, the Toyota Vellfire Spacious Lounge truly represents a business class experience.

Similar to the standard Toyota Vellfire, this MPV model is based on the TNGA-K modular platform. It has a length of 4,995 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, a height of 1,950 mm, and a wheelbase length of 3,000 mm.

The detailed specifications of the Toyota Vellfire Spacious Lounge have not been announced yet. However, it is known that the new generation Toyota Vellfire in Japan offers two engine options.

The first option is a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of 2.5L, delivering a maximum power of 180 horsepower and a maximum torque of 235 Nm. This engine is paired with a Super CVT-i continuously variable transmission and is available in both front-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive configurations.

The second option is a hybrid powertrain featuring the Dynamic Force 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of 2.5L, producing a maximum power of 188 horsepower and a maximum torque of 236 Nm. This engine is accompanied by a strong 5NM electric motor with an output of 180 horsepower and 270 Nm, located on the front axle. The hybrid powertrain is mated to an e-CVT transmission, resulting in a maximum total output of 247 horsepower, and it is available in a front-wheel drive configuration.
