According to Autolife Thailand, the Yaris Cross available in the Thai market will only come with a 1.5L hybrid engine. It appears that the variants using the 1.5L petrol engine will not be available in Thailand.

The Yaris Cross Hybrid is equipped with a 2NR-VEX 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine, generating a maximum power of 91 PS and a torque of 121 Nm. It is combined with an electric motor (80 PS/141 Nm). This powertrain is paired with an E-CVT automatic transmission and has front-wheel drive.

Autolife Thailand states that even though the Yaris Cross production center is located in Indonesia, the smaller crossover variant for Thailand is expected to be assembled (CKD) in Thailand.

In Indonesia, the hybrid version of the Yaris Cross has been selling better than the petrol versions, with the hybrid variant making up 86.5% of the total sales of this model in July.

More detailed information about the Yaris Cross Hybrid for the Thai market will be revealed after its launch. However, it is anticipated that the car may be equipped similarly to the Indonesian variant, which includes features such as a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate with foot sensor, 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, 10.1-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) ADAS safety system.

Thai media speculates that the price of the Yaris Cross Hybrid may be below 1 million THB (around 678 million VND). This will position it as a competitor to the Honda HR-V.
