With an affordable price, the two new models from the British brand are expected to become the top choices in the 400cc segment in the Vietnamese market.
Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X are the latest additions to the highly successful Triumph Modern Classic family. Speed 400 is a smaller variant of the renowned Speed Twin 900 and 1200 models, while Scrambler 400 X inherits the unique design characteristics of the Scrambler 900 and 1200.
Triumph equips Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X with a 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates 39.5 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Both models come with a 6-speed gearbox.
Both models feature a tubular steel frame, LED lighting, an analog instrument cluster with an integrated LCD screen, a 17-inch rear wheel, and a 13-liter fuel tank. They are equipped with a two-channel ABS braking system, adjustable traction control, and a USB-C charging port.
Triumph Speed 400 comes with a 17-inch cast aluminum front wheel, while the Scrambler features a 19-inch wheel. The front fork of both models is upside-down with 43mm travel for the Speed and 140mm travel for the Scrambler. The rear mono-shock has an external reservoir and is adjustable, with 130mm travel for the Speed and 150mm travel for the Scrambler.
Both bikes are equipped with single disc brakes. The Scrambler has a larger front disc brake, measuring 320mm compared to the Speed’s 300mm. The rear disc brake on both models measures 230mm. The Scrambler weighs 179 kg, which is 9 kg heavier than the 170 kg Speed. The seat height is also different, with the Speed model at 790mm and the Scrambler at 835mm.
The official prices for these two models are as follows: Speed 400 (starting from 169.9 million VND) and Scrambler 400 X (starting from 189.9 million VND). All prices include VAT.
