After an almost 3-month hiatus, motorsports fans in Vietnam finally have something to look forward to with the VMRC (Vietnam Motorcycle Racing Championship) 2023. Round 3 took place on the morning of October 15 at the familiar “holy land” – Dai Nam race track in Binh Duong province.

Following an upgrade, the technical dimensions of the Dai Nam track have now reached a length of 2.2km with 11 corners, including 7 right turns and 4 left turns. The longest straight acceleration section spans 400m from the starting line to the pit area.

As the race approaches, Dai Nam experiences an ideal temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. With a wind speed of only 10km/h, the weather is cool with a mix of light sunshine and clouds. The road surface has recently been rained on, and the track has not completely dried yet, requiring racers to showcase their technical skills and vehicle control abilities, especially in corners 6-7 and 8.

NSF 100 race category

The third round of the VMRC 2023 witnessed the absence of Taiwanese female racer Nana Ying Yi. Although she secured the Pole in the young talented race category, Nhat Duy #03 did not deliver an impressive performance and fell behind.

The top 3 racers in the forefront, Duc Tri #82, Trung Kien #40, and Ngo Khoa #06, quickly extended their lead over the other racers. At the end of the first race, Trung Kien and Duc Tri closely followed each other, with Ngo Khoa right behind, qualifying them for the second race.

In the second race, the leading group of racers separated, with Nhat Duy #03 and Vu Ngoc Thanh Dat #84 securing the 4th and 5th positions, respectively, while the rest of the racers formed a separate group.

At the top, the running order of the top three racers changed rapidly. Duc Tri #82 took the opportunity when Ngo Khoa #06 attacked Trung Kien #40 to move ahead. However, Ngo Khoa and Trung Kien quickly reclaimed their positions in the following corners.

In the final two races, young racer Trung Kien temporarily took the lead, establishing a safe distance. Meanwhile, Duc Tri and Ngo Khoa fiercely competed, neck and neck, attacking each other’s lines in every corner. The positions on the victory podium were up for grabs until the last moment, making the races in the NSF100 category unpredictable and dramatic.

Blade 110 race category

The leader in the overall standings for the Blade 110 race category is Le Tran Kim Thanh #04 with 27 points. He started in the second position, just behind the pole-winning racer, Nguyen Duc Hoai Thuong #75. Female racer Truong Hai Yen #12, who is currently in fourth place, leads the second row and has attracted significant attention.

At this time, before the start line, the mist has dissipated, and the heat at Dai Nam “furnace” is increasing as the temperature reaches 29 degrees Celsius. The wind force has decreased to 6 km/h.

When the signal lights go out, Le Tran Kim Thanh #04 immediately accelerates and makes every effort to secure the leading position. He performs standard handling operations to ensure that no opponent can surpass him. Before the first race ends, multiple racers collide and fall in a group accident.

At the end of the first race, Kim Thanh #04 demonstrates his class by creating a gap of over 4 seconds from the trailing racers. Hoai Thuong #75, who initially held the second position, seems to be experiencing technical problems as smoke continuously comes out of his vehicle, and he cannot maintain the necessary speed.

Taking advantage of this situation, Nguyen Truong Hai Yen #12 quickly attacks and secures the second position, surpassing Hoai Thuong #75. Despite the vehicle’s malfunction, Hoai Thuong #75 persistently pursues Hai Yen.

Unfortunately, Hai Yen loses focus while being constantly pursued by Hoai Thuong, leading to a slip-off at a corner. Despite this setback, she immediately gets back on her bike, determined not to give up.

However, her efforts were not enough to prevent Hoai Thuong #75 and Le Minh Hieu #72 from overtaking and finishing in second and third places, respectively. Nhat Duy #63, who ranked second in round 2, and Thanh Dat #84 did not have a chance to claim a spot on the victory podium.

Winner X 150 race category

Race 4’s pole position was secured by Tran Gia Huy #79. He currently holds the top position in the overall standings with 32 points. A fierce competition arises from Dang Chi Khoi #71 and Nguyen Minh Tri #73, both starting second and third, respectively, with 24 total points, tied after the first two rounds.

Immediately after the lights go out, Tran Gia Huy #79 seizes the opportunity to increase his speed and occupies the racing line, engaging in a fierce battle with Nguyen Nhat Truong #96. This pressure makes Truong #96 nervous, leading to him giving up the leading position to Gia Huy #79.

However, by the end of the first race, Truong #96 regains the lead after an overtaking maneuver in the straight section. Despite this, young racer Dang Khoa #17 excels throughout the race but makes a small mistake when entering a corner, resulting in a bike slip-off.

At that critical moment, Le Vu Truong Giang #54 quickly overtakes Dang Khoa, securing a place on the victory podium right at the finish line.

In the final moments before the finish line, the battle for the top two positions is almost settled, with Kim Thanh Le #04 and Hoai Thuong Nguyen #75 taking the lead. However, all eyes are on the racers behind. Hai Yen #12 makes a great effort to recover from her fall, and Le Minh Hieu #72 frequently looks back to observe her pursuit.

In the last turns, Le Minh Hieu’s distraction leads to a mistake in a corner, allowing Hai Yen #12 to swiftly surpass him and snatch the third position. This final result holds as the racers cross the checkered flag. A sweet ending for the determined efforts of female racer Nguyen Truong Hai Yen and the excellent performance of young racer Le Tran Kim Thanh.

CBR 150R race category

Racer Nguyen Hoang Dang Khoa #17 currently leads the overall standings with 32 points, having achieved absolute victory in the first two races. Meanwhile, pole winner Nguyen Nhat Truong #96 is familiar face.

Dang Khoa starts in the second position, with Nguyen Vu Thanh #19 starting right behind him. It’s worth noting that female racer Vo Huyen Thien Thu #66 starts in the 9th position, the last position on Row 3.

As soon as the red flag is raised and the signal lights go out, all the racers accelerate simultaneously. Huu Tin #11 begins with confidence, avoiding any mistakes and taking the lead. At the end of the first lap, Le Khanh Loc #68 manages to overtake Huu Tin and secures the second position, closely trailing behind Huu Tin.

In the next lap, Le Khanh Loc #68 boldly overtakes Huu Tin once again, taking the lead. Not willing to be outperformed, Huu Tin #11 chases Le Khanh Loc and overtakes him to regain the first position in the straight section.

But then, at the end of the following lap, Le Khanh Loc #68 overtakes Huu Tin again to regain the lead. Determined not to be outperformed, Huu Tin #11 overtakes Le Khanh Loc in the straight section, reclaiming the lead once more.

Both Huu Tin and Khanh Loc continuously attack and change positions in an exhilarating manner with each corner. In the rear, Minh Sang #20 and Hoang Phuc #38 engage in an exciting and intense pursuit.

Entering the final lap, Hung Huu Tin #11 focuses on his opponent, while Le Khanh Loc #68 waits for an opportunity to overtake. A few seconds later, Huu Tin cleverly surpasses Le Khanh Loc by taking the inside line in a corner, securing the first position until the final corner.

However, in the last few meters before the finish line, the script repeats itself as Huu Tin looks back and allows Khanh Loc to almost overtake him side by side. Ultimately, Le Khanh Loc #68 claims the victory. He celebrates with excitement, then slows down and claps his hands in celebration with Le Hung Huu Tin #11.

Both racers demonstrate professionalism and a spirit of superior sportsmanship. Although they fiercely compete, there is no sign of animosity or negative emotions between them. Tran Hoang Phuc #38 secures the remaining position on the victory podium.

UB 150 race category

The last category of the third round takes place at midday, when the sun reaches its peak, with a temperature of 31 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 7 km/h. In this category, each racing motorbike carries the distinctive mark of a tuning shop, and the racers compete for their club colors, honor, and personal performance.

After the time trial, Le Hung Huu Tin #11 secures the pole position and starts at the front. Tran Hoang Phuc #38 starts second, and Huynh Minh Sang #28 holds the last position on Row 1.

Racer Phan Minh Phung, in the fifth position, cannot start the race due to unfixable technical problems that occurred when running from the pit area to the starting position. This is regrettable for Phan Minh Phung but also a shared hope for the racers starting behind.

As soon as the red flag is raised and the signal lights go out, all the racers accelerate simultaneously. Hung Tin #11 starts confidently, without any mistakes, and takes the lead. At the end of the first lap, Le Khanh Loc #68 manages to overtake Hung Tin and secures the second position, closely trailing behind him.

In the next lap, Le Khanh Loc #68 continues to confidently overtake Hung Tin, taking the lead. Both racers continuously attack and change positions in an exhilarating manner, corner after corner. In the meantime, Minh Sang #20 and Hoang Phuc #38 also engage in a tense and exciting pursuit.

Entering the final lap, Hung Tin #11 keeps an eye on his opponent, while Khanh Loc #68 waits for the chance to overtake. A few seconds later, Huu Tin once again cleverly regains the lead by taking the inside line in a corner, holding the position until the final corner.

However, in the last few meters before the finish line, the script repeats itself as Hung Tin looks back and allows Khanh Loc #68 to almost overtake him side by side. Ultimately, Le Khanh Loc claims the victory. He celebrates with excitement, then slows down and claps his hands in celebration with Le Hung Huu Tin #11.

Both racers demonstrate professionalism and a spirit of superior sportsmanship. Despite the fierce competition during the race, they immediately congratulate each other after crossing the finish line, showing no animosity or negative emotions.
