In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including sports racing activities. Most international tournaments were either postponed or held without spectators, leading to Honda Vietnam (HVN) being unable to conduct competitions and training programs abroad.

However, with a strong commitment to fostering a thriving sports racing scene in Vietnam, HVN successfully organized the Vietnam Motor Racing 2020 (VMRC 2020) tournament in accordance with the government’s guidelines to ensure the health of participants. The tournament was organized by the Vietnam Motorcycle and Bicycle Federation, with Honda Vietnam taking on the role as the main sponsor and organizer for the third consecutive year.

The closing ceremony and award ceremony for the VMRC 2020 tournament took place on March 22 at the Dai Nam racetrack in Binh Duong province. This edition of the tournament consisted of 4 thrilling races held at the 2K racetrack and the Dai Nam racetrack, showcasing the professionalism of the event and providing athletes with a meaningful competition experience. The tournament not only ignited the passion for speed among participants but also contributed to the overall development of motorcycle racing in Vietnam, bringing it closer to international standards.

VMRC 2020 featured 4 races and 5 competition categories, including the Blade 110cc, MSX 125cc, Winner 150cc, UB130cc, and the Vietnam Talent Cup. Among these categories, the Vietnam Talent Cup was introduced for the first time in the VMRC races. It provided a platform for promising young athletes aged 15-17, who had never participated in the VMRC tournament before, to compete using the NSF100 model.
