As per the plan, Volkswagen is set to launch the third-generation Tiguan model in September. However, just a few weeks before its official debut, leaked images of the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan 2024 have surfaced on social media.
The Tiguan was spotted on the streets of Slovenia, Europe, where it appears to be undergoing a photoshoot for its promotional campaign in anticipation of its global launch.
Although the images have a low resolution, it is evident that this is the sporty R-Line variant of the Tiguan. The front of the car stands out with its large air intakes, complemented by sleek chrome accents and sporty, oversized wheels. Notably, the SUV boasts full-width LED lighting both at the front and rear, along with a stylish silver roof rail.
The all-new Volkswagen Tiguan 2024 measures 4,551 mm in length, which is an increase of 32 mm compared to its predecessor. However, it maintains the same width and wheelbase of 2,681 mm.
Building upon its predecessor’s success, the new generation Volkswagen Tiguan features an upgraded version of the MQB platform. In Europe, customers will have a wide range of engine options to choose from, including the 1.5 eTSI petrol engine, 2.0 TSI petrol engine, and 2.0 TDI diesel engine. All of these engines come equipped with mild-hybrid technology. Additionally, the car will be available in two eHybrid PHEV engine configurations, with power outputs of 201 horsepower and 268 horsepower respectively. The larger 18.5 kWh battery will enable the vehicle to travel nearly 100 km in pure electric mode.
