During the product introduction event that took place on September 22nd, Yamaha Motor Vietnam officially showcased the new Grande model. The latest Grande lineup consists of three versions: Standard, Premium, and Limited, with proposed retail prices of 45.9 million, 50.3 million, and 51 million VND respectively – slightly higher than the previous model. So, what are the notable changes in the 2022 Yamaha Grande that enhance its competitive advantage against the Honda Leda or SH Mode?
Each version of the Yamaha Grande 2022 will offer 3-4 exterior color options.
Targeting female customers, the Yamaha Grande 2022 offers a wide range of glossy exterior color options. The design of the new generation model has significantly improved, particularly focusing on the front of the scooter. Firstly, the scooter’s headlight retains its diamond shape, but it is now more compact and sharp compared to the previous model. It features LED lights and a chrome strip with the engraved word “Grande” inside the headlight. Additionally, the front face of the scooter is equipped with a new LED daytime running strip, and the turn signals on both sides are redesigned with a slim and thin strip form, deviating from the bulky design of the previous version.
The copper pink color will only be available on the highest-end “Limited” version.
The blue-black color tone is exclusively offered in the “Premium” version.
The headlights are diamond-shaped but smaller and more compact than before.

The scooter’s seat is also redesigned to enhance its aesthetics, featuring a more slender profile. Depending on the version, the seat is available in either a 2-tone or monochrome design.
The rear taillight is sleeker and equipped with LED lights.
The digital gauge cluster retains its diamond shape but features a new interface.
The Yamaha Grande 2022 will support phone connectivity via the Y-Connect application. This feature allows users to receive message notifications, calls, and monitor battery capacity directly on the gauge cluster. The application also alerts users to any issues with the scooter, reminds them of oil change schedules and battery status, reports fuel consumption, determines parking locations, and records trip logs.
The scooter is still equipped with a Smart Key, but new features include a charging port for phones and a storage compartment under the seat.
The fuel filler cap is conveniently located on the left side of the scooter.
The storage compartment has a capacity of up to 27 liters.
The engine of the Yamaha Grande 2022 remains the Blue Core Hybrid 125cc type. However, it has been fine-tuned to offer better fuel efficiency compared to the previous model. The new Grande achieves a fuel consumption rate of 1.66 liters/100 km, as reported by the Vietnam Register Department, making it even more “economical” than before – solidifying its position as the most fuel-efficient scooter in Vietnam.
