Recently, a rare sight appeared on the streets of Saigon: a Lamborghini Urus S 2023 super SUV with a license plate from Hanoi. This particular model stands out not only because of its unique color but also because there are very few of these cars in Vietnam. In fact, you can count them on one hand.
The Lamborghini Urus S 2023 super SUV spotted in Saigon is painted in pearl purple, which is one of the optional colors offered by Lamborghini. However, this is not its original color.
Without the license plate 30K-528.99, many would mistake the pearl purple color for its original outfit. In reality, the Lamborghini Urus S 2023 is originally gray with two-tone paint in black and gray and 23-inch double-spoke wheels. It arrived in Vietnam a few months ago and was then registered with the license plate 30K-528.99, which was eventually auctioned off for a mere 50 million VND.
The Lamborghini Urus S 2023 is an upgraded version that came out nearly 5 years after its initial release. The most noticeable changes in its design are seen in the front grille and the front and rear bumpers, which have been slightly modified to improve aerodynamics. The first Lamborghini Urus S brought into Vietnam is owned by a tycoon in Hanoi and is gray in color with several black exterior details. It features 5-double-spoke wheels with a silver-black finish and yellow brake calipers.
Under the hood, the Lamborghini Urus S boasts the same V8 twin-turbocharged engine with a displacement of 4.0 liters as its predecessors in the Vietnamese market. However, engineers in Italy have fine-tuned the Urus S to generate a whopping 657 horsepower, which is 16 horsepower more than the standard version and equal to the Urus Performante. The car also packs a maximum torque of 850 Nm.
Thanks to its impressive power, the mid-life facelift version of the Lamborghini Urus accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, which is 0.1 second faster than the standard version. It can reach 0 to 200 km/h in only 12.5 seconds and achieves a top speed of 305 km/h. These figures are quite impressive for an SUV, although they still fall short compared to the Aston Martin DBX 707, which already has three cars in Vietnam.
