A Closer Look at the Actual VinFast VF 7 Commercial Models

Recently, an image of the VinFast VF 7 was showcased at an event held in Hanoi, garnering significant attention. This is the first official unveiling of the electric SUV model.

The VF 7 was announced by VinFast in Vietnam on November 21. According to the announcement, the car is available in 2 versions: Standard and Plus. The Standard version of VF 7 is priced at VND 850 million without a battery and VND 999 million with a battery. The corresponding prices for the Plus version are VND 999 million and VND 1,199 billion respectively.

Many users regard the VF 7 as VinFast’s most visually striking model. The car is designed in the “Asymmetric Aerospace” language by Torino Design (Italy), exuding a sense of freedom and modernity.

The front and rear ends of the car are accentuated by VinFast’s distinctive LED light strip, resembling wings. The car’s coupe-style windshield, along with its large wheel arches and 20-inch alloy wheels, contribute to its bold and sporty appearance.

With a length of 4,545mm (wheelbase length of 2,840mm), a width of 1,890mm, a height of 1,635.75mm, and a ground clearance of 190mm, the VF 7 offers a spacious and comfortable interior space suitable for family travel.

The VF 7’s cabin is designed with the driver in mind, featuring highlights such as a large 12.9-inch touch screen entertainment system, a Head-Up Display (HUD) information display system on the windshield, a unique two-tone D-cut steering wheel, and exquisitely designed piano-like buttons for gear shifting.

As for the performance, the VinFast VF 7 Plus version is equipped with two electric motors, delivering a total power of 349 horsepower and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. It also features a four-wheel drive system and a 75.3 kWh battery pack, allowing for a maximum travel distance of up to 431 km per full charge (according to WLTP standards).

On the other hand, the Base version of the VF 7 is powered by a single electric motor with a maximum power of 174 horsepower and a torque of 250 Nm. It comes with a 59.6 kWh battery pack, providing a maximum travel distance of 375 km per charge.

The VinFast VF 7 is equipped with 8 airbags and several active safety systems including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Roll-Over Mitigation (ROM).

The VF 7 Plus version is also equipped with an advanced ADAS driving assistance system, offering 11 basic features and 15 advanced features. VinFast will provide free updates for features such as traffic congestion assist, highway driving assist, and remote parking assist in 2024.

VinFast will officially start accepting deposits for the VF 7 car on December 2, 2023. Sales consultants at select dealerships have mentioned that customers who place their deposits early can expect to receive the car before the Lunar New Year. According to the company’s policy, customers who purchase a VinFast VF 7 without a battery will need to pay an additional cost of VND 2.9 million for a maximum travel distance of 3,000 km/month and VND 4.8 million/month for distances exceeding 3,000 km/month. The battery rental deposit is VND 41 million, which will be refunded to customers upon battery return, contract termination, or car and battery transfer to another person.
