On August 8, 2023, a photo of a serious car accident involving a Porsche Macan S luxury SUV went viral on social media. The incident took place in Dan Nhiem village, Van Giang town, Van Giang district, Hung Yen province.
The cause of the accident is still unknown, but what is clear is that the Porsche Macan S collided with a traffic signal pole on the side of the road. The impact was so strong that it deformed the front right corner of the car and pushed the bonnet backwards. The airbag inside the vehicle deployed.
Thankfully, there were no casualties in the accident. As soon as the authorities received the report, they swiftly arrived at the scene to manage the traffic, conduct a thorough examination of the area, and investigate the cause of the accident.
According to reliable sources, the Porsche Macan S involved in the accident belongs to the football player Vu Van Thanh. He recently purchased the luxury car in June from K-Super showroom, owned by Phan Cong Khanh.
The Porsche Macan S chosen by Vu Van Thanh features a gray exterior with black accents, giving it a sporty appearance. The interior is adorned with red leather, adding a touch of elegance to the vehicle.
It is worth mentioning that Vu Van Thanh invested a significant amount of money in acquiring this luxury car. In fact, an official Porsche Macan S is priced at up to 4.4 billion VND.
Under the hood, the Porsche Macan S boasts a powerful 2.9L, twin-turbocharged, 6-cylinder petrol engine, which generates an impressive maximum power output of 375 horsepower. The engine is paired with a seamless 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 259 km/h when equipped with the Sport Chrono package.
It is worth noting that Vu Van Thanh is not the only professional football player in Vietnam who owns a luxury car. Other renowned players such as Quang Hai, Duy Manh, Doan Van Hau, Bui Tien Dung, Tien Linh, and Bui Tien Dung have also invested in luxury cars, primarily from the Mercedes-Benz brand.
