The 2025 Toyota Camry and the latest Accord model share a common trait – they both prioritize improvements over a complete transformation. In this article, we will compare these two D-size sedans from Japan, although Toyota has not yet disclosed the complete specifications for the Camry.
Engine and Power
One of the most notable upgrades on the 2025 Toyota Camry is the adoption of a hybrid powertrain for all versions, whether it’s front-wheel drive or AWD. The hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.5L 4-cylinder inline engine and two electric motors. In the front-wheel drive configuration, this powertrain delivers a combined output of 225 horsepower, while in the all-wheel drive configuration, it offers a combined output of 232 horsepower. Both powertrains are paired with an eCVT transmission.
In the previous generation, the Camry’s optional 4WD system was only available on variants with internal combustion engines. It’s worth noting that the new Camry Hybrid generates more power compared to its predecessor, which had only 208 horsepower. Additionally, the Camry surpasses the 2024 Accord in terms of power. The new Accord features a potent 1.5L i4 turbocharged engine that produces 192 horsepower for the two entry-level versions, or a strong 204 horsepower hybrid engine (combining a 2.0L i4 engine with a larger electric motor).
Infotainment system
The 2025 Camry LE and SE versions come equipped with a 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster and an 8.0-inch infotainment screen. On the other hand, the higher-end XLE and XSE versions boast a pair of 12.3-inch screens for the gauge cluster and infotainment display. The infotainment screen also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
As for the 2024 Accord, it features a standard 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster, while the LX and EX versions equipped with the 1.5L engine get a smaller 7-inch touch infotainment screen. Moving up to the Accord Hybrid versions, from the Sport to the top-of-the-line Touring variant, users are treated to a 12.3-inch touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The highest-priced Accord Touring version also integrates built-in Google apps, enabling owners to download Google Maps or utilize Google Assistant.
Safety and driver assistance
The 2025 Toyota Camry comes equipped with the standard Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 package, which comprises features such as forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, automatic headlights, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Meanwhile, the Honda Sensing package on the Accord is almost identical to Toyota’s Safety Sense, including lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, and traffic sign recognition. However, the Camry’s full-speed radar-based adaptive cruise control system gives it an edge, along with blind-spot monitoring available across all trim levels. This feature is not available on the base LX version of the Accord.
As of now, the 2025 Toyota Camry gains an advantage with its more powerful engine and attractive design compared to the 2024 Honda Accord with its somewhat conservative styling. However, since Toyota has not yet revealed the full details and pricing of the new Camry, we cannot definitively conclude which car to choose.

Honda Accord: 40 Years of Automotive Excellence
Looking at the Vietnamese car market right now and humorously comparing it, we will see Camry as a well-behaved young girl, not outstanding in every aspect but easily becoming the choice of the “other half”. Teana, on the other hand, is like a dignified and tranquil woman, full of courage. Meanwhile, Mazda6 is like a hot girl, quickly attracting and captivating anyone’s gaze from the first encounter. As for Accord – with the elegance and experiences of a U30 lady, even though she is always praised by everyone, she hides something “difficult to deal with” in the minds of the majority.
