The Redline Club is a community for car racing enthusiasts, established in June 2020. We organize races to bring together Vietnamese racers and build a strong team.
Our recent event, the Redline Auto Gymkhana Cup Round 3, saw a great turnout with over 40 racers registered. However, only the first 32 racers were accepted to ensure that the race followed the schedule smoothly.

One of the unique aspects of motorsport races is the unpredictable element of rain. Rain can completely change the race dynamics, especially for rear-wheel drive cars in the Pro category.
Even with widened bodies to lower their center of gravity and reduce body roll at high speeds, these cars lose significant speed on wet tracks due to the lack of friction to control sideways sliding.
Most cars in this category are equipped with semi-slick racing tires, which have fewer tread grooves and are designed for maximum performance when the tires are hot. However, these tires lose their advantage in wet conditions, causing the cars to struggle in corners and curves.
Furthermore, racing tires in this category typically have fewer water channels and are designed for optimal performance when the tires are hot. The rain further reduces their advantage, making it challenging for the cars to maintain speed and control in corners.
In the Pro category, Nguyen Anh Tu, the number one offroad racer in Vietnam, showcased his exceptional driving skills on a slippery track. With the support of a Mercedes-AMG A45 equipped with 4Matic, he surpassed many experienced racers in the Pro category. However, luck wasn’t on his side to secure the championship title.

In the Lady of Speed category, a category exclusively dedicated to female racers, Trần Hải Yến with a Mitsubishi Attrage emerged as the winner, closely followed by Phạm Thanh Dung. It’s remarkable to see the female racers achieve similar results to their male counterparts and excel in their track memorization abilities, as some male racers took wrong turns.
Truong Nam Thà nh, Head of the Organizing Committee, shared his thoughts: “In racing, gender shouldn’t be a limitation. Women possess attributes that make them excellent racers, such as concentration, attention to detail, memorization ability, and precise execution. When women show interest in racing, they progress rapidly compared to men.”

Pro-class champion Anh Vinh, who raced with a rusty car, shared his thoughts: “The debate about who is faster, which car is better, the road conditions, and the weather will never end. To truly understand the factors that affect race results, it’s best to become a racer and experience it firsthand!”
