After the incredible success of the initial two races, the VMRC 2023 championship’s third race made a triumphant return at Dai Nam racetrack in Binh Duong province on October 15th. The event featured the participation of 64 racers across five different racing categories, including the Vietnam Talent Cup (NSF100), BLADE110, WINNER X 150, CBR150R, and UB150.
The Dai Nam racetrack is a well-known venue for speed enthusiasts and Vietnamese racers alike. It boasts a total length of 2,200 m, with the longest straight measuring 400 m. The track features 11 corners, including 7 right turns and 4 left turns. The multiple corners and their continuous sequence demand racers’ undivided attention and superior physical fitness.
The weather during the event was perfect, with plenty of sunshine and a gentle breeze. Combined with meticulous technical preparations and the unyielding determination of the racers, the third stage of the VMRC 2023 championship provided the audience with an incredibly thrilling and spectacular show.
Vietnam Talent Cup – NSF 100 category
True to the expectations of the spectators, the Vietnam Talent Cup – NSF 100 category witnessed intense and captivating races right from the beginning of stage 3 of the VMRC 2023 championship.
In the qualifying session, racer Truong Duc Tri showcased an excellent performance and secured the pole position. Trung Kien and Jordi Nam claimed the second and third positions, respectively.
Based on the results of the qualifying race in stage 3 and the first two races, Jordi Nam, Tran Ngo Khoa, Vo Nhat Duy, and Nguyen Trung Kien emerged as potential contenders for podium finishes in the championship.
As soon as the race commenced, the racers made powerful and swift starts. Like Duc Tri had demonstrated in the qualifying race, he quickly accelerated in the first lap and established a significant lead over the other racers.
However, Trung Kien caught up and engaged in a fierce competition with Duc Tri and Ngo Khoa for the top three positions. The race between them was fought millimeter by millimeter on the racetrack.
This race was undoubtedly the most exhilarating NSF100 event thus far. The battle for the top spot was intense from the very first lap until the final lap. Additionally, the competition for the runner-up position was incredibly fierce, extremely thrilling, and only decided within the last few meters of the racetrack.
After completing 8 laps, Nguyen Trung Kien emerged victorious, followed by Truong Duc Tri in second place and Tran Ngo Khoa in third place. Through stage 3, Nguyen Trung Kien once again demonstrated his potential as a future champion. He won all three stages and solidified his position as a strong contender for the championship. Meanwhile, Duc Tri put forth an impressive effort and secured 13 points in stage 3.
BLADE110 category
The BLADE110 category garnered significant anticipation from speed enthusiasts due to its intense and action-packed races.
After two races, racer Kim Thanh held the top spot with 27 points. Thien Duy trailed closely behind in second place with 26 points, while Van Thanh secured third place with 25 points. The only female racer in the category, Nguyen Truong Hai Yen, occupied the fourth position with 20 points. The point difference among the racers was not substantial, leaving the championship title within reach for all participants and making race 3 even more dramatic and unpredictable.
The race began with racers unleashing powerful kicks to propel themselves forward. Among them, Le Tran Kim Thanh stood out with an impressive start that catapulted him to the front of the pack. Additionally, various incidents occurred on the racetrack, resulting in some racers falling, allowing Kim Thanh to maintain a safe distance from his pursuers. Consequently, Kim Thanh comfortably led the race towards the finish line.
The battle for the second position between Hai Yen and Hoai Thuong captured everyone’s attention. Hai Yen consistently displayed great concentration and determination, while Hoai Thuong relentlessly pushed forward to keep up. However, at the 9th bend of the fifth lap, Hai Yen made a regrettable mistake, causing her to fall and enabling Hoai Thuong to overtake and claim the second position with ease.
Meanwhile, the race for the third position witnessed heightened tension between Hai Yen and Le Minh Hieu. Despite the unfortunate incident, Hai Yen demonstrated unwavering determination. Capitalizing on Minh Hieu’s momentary lack of concentration, Hai Yen surpassed him and secured the final spot on the podium.
At the front of the pack, Kim Thanh’s solitude was palpable, as he faced minimal pressure from the chasing group. He comfortably maintained his lead, donning an eye-catching outfit. Kim Thanh’s dominance was apparent throughout the race as he effortlessly claimed the first-place position. Hoai Thuong secured second place, while Hai Yen finished third. Hai Yen’s perseverance and refusal to give up, even after the fall, were commendable.
WINNER X 150 category
The next highly anticipated race was the WINNER X 150 category. After two races, Tran Gia Huy held the top spot with 32 points, followed by Nguyen Minh Tri and Dang Chi Khoi with 24 points each. It was clear that Nguyen Minh Tri and Dang Chi Khoi would not maintain the same number of points after stage 3.
The starting positions for stage 3 of the WINNER X 150 category were as follows: Tran Gia Huy in first place, Dang Chi Khoi in second place, and Nguyen Minh Tri in third place.
Right from the start, intense competition erupted at the top among the trio of familiar racers who dominated the leaderboard: Gia Huy, Chi Khoi, and Minh Tri. In stage 3, Gia Huy displayed astonishing stability and consistently led the race. Despite maintaining a comfortable lead over his pursuers, Gia Huy continuously strived to improve his performance with each lap. He approached every moment and every corner with utmost seriousness, consistently pushing his limits. Chi Khoi secured the second position.
The WINNER X 150 category’s fiercest competition in stage 3 centered around the race for the third position on the podium. Racers Hoang Quan and Luu Truong Bao fiercely battled for that coveted spot.
After completing 10 laps, Gia Huy calmly claimed first place, securing his third consecutive victory in stage 3. Chi Khoi impressively obtained the second position. Luu Truong Bao finished third, while Hoang Quan crossed the finish line in fourth place.
CBR150R category
Unlike the WINNER X 150 category, which featured a relatively predictable winner, the CBR150R category in stage 3 of the VMRC 2023 championship was characterized by intense competition and unpredictability. The category’s champion was only revealed within the last few meters of the racetrack.
The starting positions for the CBR150R category in stage 3 of the VMRC 2023 championship were as follows: Nguyen Nhat Truong starting in first place, Nguyen Hoang Dang Khoa in second place, and Nguyen Vu Thanh in third place. Vo Huyen Thien Thu also participated in this category.
Shortly after the race started, the excitement reached its climax as close competitions emerged at the top. The positions of the racers in the top 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 continuously changed hands.
The highlight of the CBR150R category must undoubtedly include racer Vu Thanh. Vu Thanh silently demonstrated his determination and skills. He did not need to make a strong initial impression like the racers Nhat Truong and Dang Khoa. In the first 7 laps, Nhat Truong and Dang Khoa consistently held the first position. It was only in the last few laps that Vu Thanh showcased his formidable potential.
In the final three laps, the competition between Vu Thanh, Nhat Truong, and Dang Khoa intensified dramatically. The racers vied closely for positions, fiercely battling each other on every corner, resulting in numerous thrilling moments of position changes. Unfortunately, at the first bend of the last lap, Dang Khoa made an unfortunate mistake and fell, relegating him to fifth place.
Meanwhile, Vu Thanh impressively crossed the finish line in first place, followed by Nhat Truong in second place, Truong Giang in third place, and Minh Di in fourth place.
UB150 category
Surprising variables continued to emerge, pushing the tension to its climax in the final race of stage 3 of the VMRC 2023 championship, the UB150 category. The roaring sounds of the exhaust systems heightened the atmosphere at the Dai Nam racetrack.
After two races, Huynh Minh Sang occupied the top spot in the UB150 category with 32 points. Le Khanh Loc held second place with 19 points, while Nguyen Nhut Linh also had 19 points, but trailed slightly due to tiebreakers.
However, Le Hung Huu Tin claimed the pole position for stage 3. Tran Hoang Phuc started in second place, and Huynh Minh Sang took the third spot.
Benefiting from his pole position, Le Hung Huu Tin quickly accelerated and assumed the lead in the race. His pursuers included Le Khanh Loc, Huynh Minh Sang, and Tran Hoang Phuc.
Throughout stage 3, the UB150 category witnessed an intense duel between Huu Tin and Khanh Loc. Huu Tin skillfully maneuvered the corners, making it difficult for Khanh Loc to catch up. The race seemed poised to end with a victory for Huu Tin; however, astonishingly, in the last 400 meters of the straight line, Khanh Loc accelerated and crossed the finish line first. Huu Tin secured second place, and Hoang Phuc finished third.
Stage 3 of the VMRC 2023 championship concluded with an incredibly exciting and nail-biting competition until the very last moment. The journey of the VMRC 2023 Vietnam Motorcycle Racing Championship will continue with stages 4 and 5 to be held in Hanoi.
